It’s time to unbox the Sephora Play: July 2016 box, which is my third box of the subscription. This box is actually a little different than the other two boxes that I unboxed. This month Sephora sent out two different box options, one for oily skin subscribers and one for dry skin subscribers. Every subscriber got the Nest Fragrance, Ouai Wave Spray, and the beautyblender blotterazzi pad; the other three products are what was specific for the box that I received. Here is what was in the Sephora Play: July 2016 box for dry skin subscribers.

Nest Fragrance in Citrine || Fragrance notes are lemon blossom, freesia, and lotus flower. Scent is a sparkling floral that would make a good day perfume.

Ouai Wave Spray || A spray that can be used on damp or dry hair to enhance natural waves or to provide volume.

beautyblender blotterazi || Made with same material as the beautyblender makeup sponge, designed to be used dry to soak up any oils throughout the day. Full-size comes with two sponges and a carrying compact. Sample comes with one sponge.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser || A fragrance-free cleanser that can be used on all skin types, including sensitive skin, but has properties that are designed specifically for dryness and redness.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer || Primer that is designed to fill lines and pores due to the dimethicone and silica in the ingredients. Works best with foundations whose first ingredient is dimethicone and NOT water due to separation.

Benefit Dew the Hoola Soft-Matte Liquid Bronzer || New addition to the cult favorite Benefit Hoola line. This liquid bronzer can be used for a sun kissed look, to contour, or can be built up for a tanned look. Liquid highlight, blush, and bronzer tend to be better for dry skin as they don’t cling to dry patches as much.

Sephora Play Box: July 2016 Value

Product Full-Size Price My Size Worth
Nest Fragrance 1.7 oz. $68.00 0.04 oz. $1.60
Ouai Wave Spray 5 oz. $26.00 1.7 oz. $8.84
beautyblender blotterazzi 2 pads + case $20.00 1 pad $6.67
First Aid Beauty Cleanser 1 oz. $5.50 1 oz. $5.50
Smashbox Primer 1 oz. $36.00 0.25 oz. $9.00
Benefit Bronzer 1 oz. $28.00 0.16 oz. $4.48
TOTAL $36.09

Overall this was a great box. These are all products that I either would have liked to try but didn’t want to put the money out for or that I already have and extras are always a bonus on them. As usual my only meh in the box is the perfume sample but when a subscription box gives you five deluxe samples of higher end products for $10 you really can’t argue with a perfume sample, you just toss it into a trade pile.
