Recently I was having a look around the HSN website and I saw the Too Faced Mascara Melt Off and was extremely intrigued. I personally LOVE cleansing oils so a cleansing oil for mascara had my attention. What I was most afraid of though is that this product would be super gimmicky, however, at only $17 I figured it would be worth the risk.
The Too Faced Mascara Melt Off claims that it can gently remove not only regular mascara but waterproof mascara as well and that while doing this it protects and conditions the lashes. The Too Faced Mascara Melt Off uses an oil-based formula to remove mascara, green tea extract to protect the lashes, and rice lipid extract to condition the lashes. To use the Too Faced Mascara Melt Off you use the wand to coat the lashes from bottom to top. Once coated you allow the product to sit on the lashes for one minute. After one minute use a makeup wipe or damp cloth to remove the broken down product. Allowing the product to sit on the lashes for one minute is important as that gives the extracts time to penetrate the mascara and get to the lashes.
I tried the Too Faced Mascara Melt Off with several different mascaras and each time it performed perfectly. The first time I used it I didn’t think that it would actually work due to how crunchy my lashes were that day and how small the wand was. However, I set my phone timer for one minute and continued about my makeup removal. At the end of the minute I was super surprised to find that the Too Faced Mascara Melt Off had done just what it claimed to do. My lashes were void of mascara and they felt amazing. I did come behind with some Bioderma just to make sure and while the Bioderma pulled off eyeshadow, this is a mascara removing product, there was no mascara left to pull off. Like I said before, I did try it with a few other mascaras just to make sure that it wasn’t a fluke and it definitely was not. I have to say that for my mascara removal this has become my new favorite product, even above Bioderma, and I will be repurchasing.
