I mentioned in my Best of 2015 post that it was my goal for 2016 to not miss a month of favorites. Due to a back injury last week I really put myself behind on posting, however, I decided I would look at my schedule and try to maneuver things around so that I could my favorites post up. I was able to do so and I’m glad I did. These are the first five favorites of 2016!

2016 Favorites: January Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bblogger #beautyfavorites #monthlyfavorites #cinemasecrets

One of the things that I had to move around were a couple of haul videos I was planning on posting. I mention that because you will see this Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleanser in an upcoming haul. I used this for the first time the night that it was delivered to my house and it did an amazing job of cleaning some really dirty brushes. I’m already planning on purchasing the larger size of this for my Facials and Make-Up class in school.

The Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream is actually a “refind” for me. I had been using it last year but had put it to the side to try out some other products. Earlier this month I happened to be moving things around and found the Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream again. I’ve been loving using it again and can’t wait to get a bigger container.

2016 Favorites: January Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bblogger #beautyfavorites #monthlyfavorites #toofaced

One of the things that I love about the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette is how well the shadows go together. You can really create many different looks with only the shadows in the Chocolate Bar Palette.

2016 Favorites: January Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bblogger #beautyfavorites #monthlyfavorites #toofaced

I absolutely love Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara for lift, volume, and length. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that it’s better than sex but it is a pretty dang good mascara. Personally though I can’t wait to try the new waterproof version that is coming out!

2016 Favorites: January G-Tube || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bblogger #beautyfavorites #monthlyfavorites #gtube

I’m one of those types of people who needs music when I’m doing anything. Seriously, I just can’t focus (or function for that matter) if I don’t have music coming at me. I’ve been loving the G-Project G-Tube Bluetooth Speaker for providing just that while I work. When I sit down to get ready, edit, or write a blog post it’s great to stream music from my phone straight to this handy little device.

  10. I like that bluetooth speaker. It looks like it pumps out some pretty decent sound. That nivea cream sounds good too. I’m particular with what I put on my face in terms of a moisturizer because if its too heavy, I tend to break out, but it looks like it could really hydrate my face.
