Last week I did my Best of 2015 Part One, which included my favorite face and lip products for 2015. I planned on posting this up last week as well but ran into a few “technical issues” so I’m finally getting it up today! For more details make sure to check out Part One of my Best of 2015.

Favorite Eye Primer

One of my favorite eye primers for 2015 was Urban Decay Primer Potion. I’ve honestly loved this since I got my first sample back in the day from Ulta, it just has great lasting power and keeps my shadows from creasing. That being said, part of the way through 2015 I heard about how great the Milani Eye Shadow Primer was and gave it a try. Shockingly the Milani primer was almost as good as the Urban Decay Primer Potion! It doesn’t last as long and after a bit of wear you will see creasing but it really is worth the cost.

Favorite Eye Shadow

One of my favorite eye shadows for 2015 was the Urban Decay Naked Palette. If I needed a neutral eye or wanted my eyes to pop the Naked Palette was the first thing my hands reached for. My other favorite eye shadow for 2015 was the Rimmel Glam Eye Quads and the Rimmel Glam Eye HD Palettes. These were by far my favorite drugstore eye shadows. They had pretty good staying power and blended well.

Favorite Mascara

One of my favorite mascaras for 2015 was the CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara. I actually tend to favor the CoverGirl Clump Crusher in brown and on my bottom lashes. I find that this makes them a little bit more subtle and natural looking and this doesn’t transfer to beneath my eyes! As for my top lashes I’m “ride or die” for the YSL Faux Cils Mascara! It conditions my lashes and it is one of the only mascaras that doesn’t break down super fast on my lashes.

Favorite Brow Products

When it comes to filling in my brows my favorite product for 2015 was the Benefit Gimme Brows. I find that the wand on this is perfect for shaping and filling in my brows and the product doesn’t get crunchy at all. Once my brows are filled in I obviously have to set them (or when I just need to tame them!) and my favorite product for 2015 for that was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel in Clear. This brow gel is perfect for setting brows after they’ve been filled in or just helping your brows stay in place.

Favorite Brushes and Tools

Before we start talking about makeup brushes and tools I do want to mention that two of these are fairly new to me but they still made it into my Best of 2015 list. This is because for their specific category they were better, in my opinion, than what I would have previously picked for that category. The two fairly new to me products were the Make Up For Ever 152W Brush, which I use for powder, and the Tarte Eyelash Curler, which I of course use for curling my lashes. Other brushes/tools that were favorites for 2015 were the Sigma E25 Brush (eye; crease and blending), Sigma F82 Brush (foundation; all over face), Sigma 3DHD Kabuki Brush (foundation; more precise), and the beautyblender (foundation; lighter coverage). For complete reasons of why I love these brushes/tools and for close up looks of the products make sure to check out the video above!

Favorite Makeup Remover

These two together have been my absolute favorite way of removing my makeup in 2015. I start out by removing makeup with the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes. I prefer the blue ones over their other ones as I find that they stay moist longer and remove my makeup a bit better. After I’ve got the surface makeup off I use the Philosophy Purity Made Simple cleanser, sometimes with a cleansing tool, to get down deeper!

So along with part one that concludes my Best of 2015. I can’t wait to test out more products this year to see if these same products will make the Best of 2016.

  2. My daughter has an impressive makeup brush collection and I don’t even what to do with most of them. She also uses a beauty blender and she even has a smaller beauty blender for something – maybe eyes, I don’t know. I use a foundation brush because I need more coverage. Naked (matte) is my favorite eye shadow, too. Great list!!

  3. I love Cover Girl mascara – it’s the only brand I use now. Because of my colouring, I don’t use straight black – I use black brown. Cover Girl is the only one that does that colour right!

  13. I use my Urban Decay naked palette with the same UD primer all the time! I had a heck of a time testing out and going through eyelid primers, it was so difficult to find one that didn’t crease or get greasy throughout my long days.
