Not to long ago I was in the Geeks and Beauties Facebook Group and someone mentioned that they just picked up the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette. It some how got around to being mentioned that we should do a group collab of people doing different looks with the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette and that we should upload / publish the day before Thanksgiving. Once I knew the palette and the date I HAD to join in because I had an idea for a great Last Minute Thanksgiving Makeup look featuring the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette. So if you have the palette, or similar colors, and are looking for a last minute Thanksgiving makeup look give this a go!
Before we jump into the actual steps of this last minute Thanksgiving makeup look let’ talk about the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette shall we? You can currently get this palette from Ulta or Too Faced for $36.00. This is a 9-pan palette with each row designed to work together or you can use the shadows however you want. The palette is scented so if you’re sensitive to fragrances you’re going to want to skip this one. There is also a good bit of fallout with the shimmer shades so you either need to use a shadow shield or do your foundation last. Now let’s get to this last minute Thanksgiving makeup look shall we?
The first thing I like to do in my eye looks is to put down a crease / transition shade. Today I’m going to use a Real Techniques Essential Crease Brush and the shade Peanut Butter, 2nd one in the 1st row, in my crease. To do this just load your brush with shadow, tap it on the lid of the palette to knock off as much fall out as you can, and then using back and forth / windshield wiper motions apply the shadow into the hollow of the eye under the brow bone but above the lid.
After we’ve added Peanut Butter into the crease we’re going to switch to a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and apply Spread the Love to the lid. This is going to set any primer you may have used and help any other lid shades blend with the crease shades. For this you’re going to pick up some shadow, dust off the brush, and then PAT the shadow onto the entire lid.
Once we got Spread the Love on the Lid we’re going to either pick up another Essential Crease Brush or clean off the one we have and go into Peanut Butter Cup to deepen up the crease. You’re going to do the same thing as you did with the first shadow but this time you’re going to stick to the outer portion of the crease, the part of the eye closest to the ear.
After we’ve deepened up the crease with Peanut Butter Cup we’re going to use a Real Techniques Brow Brush and go into Peanut Brittle and use this on the outer V of the eye. Now you can do this with a regular crease brush but I actually prefer the cheat method of using the brow brush as it helps to really keep that v shape, I then go in with a clean fluffy crease brush to lightly blend away any harsh lines. To deepen the V you’re going to make a v shape in the outer corner of the eye with the tip of the v being at the corner and the opening of the v being the lid of the eye. Don’t make the V to big though or you won’t be able to do the next step just a little, 1/4 at the most, v.
Once you have your V the way you like we’re going to go back to the Base Shadow Brush and go into Bananas and apply that all over the lid up to the V. You’re going to apply this the same way you did Spread the Love, by patting, and then using a clean crease brush you’re going to blend in the crease a bit to get rid of any harsh lines and then blend in the same v motion on the outer corner to blend the harsh lines there. You’re probably going to blend away a bit of Bananas when you do this but just go back in and reapply, blend, and repeat until Bananas looks the way you want!
The last thing to do is highlight that inner corner. I used a Real Techniques Detailer Brush to go into Extra Creamy and pop that on the inner corner of the eye. Voila we’re done!
And this is is the finished last minute Thanksgiving makeup eye look. I did add a touch of eyeliner feel free to wing that baby out if you so wish. I also used some mascara but you can add falsies if you so wish. The only reason I didn’t add them is because I misplaced my Latex Free Eyelash Glue and I’m allergic to Latex so you know had to skip them haha!
