Not to long ago a photo was leaked of a possible collaboration between YouTuber Kathleen Lights and makeup brand Morphe. People didn’t know many details like when it would come out or how much it would but a lot of people were talking about it. Not long after that Kathleen Lights announced on her channel that she would be releasing a palette with Morphe the next day at 10am PST, that it would be limited edition, and that it would sale for $14.99. To tell you how excited I was for this release, we were in the car on the way home and happened to stop at a stop sign at 12:59pm our time. We continued to sit at the stop sign until after I had completed the order just to make sure that we didn’t lose the signal during the process! Here are my thoughts on the Morphe x Kathleen Lights Palette with Swatches!
Morphe x Kathleen Lights Palette Packaging
Let’s start of talking about the Morphe x Kathleen Lights Palette by talking about the packaging as that’s the first thing you see. The Morphe x Kathleen Lights Palette is a short rectangular palette that comes in a box with an actual design on it. You can see in the photo above that the regular Morphe palettes, a.k.a. as the 35_ palettes, are larger and the outer packaging is more plain than what the Morphe x Kathlee Lights Palette is. Moving onto the packaging of the actual palette. The Morphe 35 palettes all have a plastic casing, with a hard to open closure, that just says Morphe and no other distinguishing marks. You actually tell each palette apart by looking on the back for a little sticker and if that falls off you’re screwed! The Morphe x Kathleen Lights Palette has a cardboard packaging with a magnetic closure and the outside says Morphe x KathleenLights.
Now that we’ve talked about the outside of the Morphe x Kathleen Lights palette, let’s move onto the inside of the palette. As I mentioned before the Morphe 35’s come in a plastic case while the Morphe x Kathleen Lights palettes comes in a cardboard case. Here are a few of the other comparisons between the two palettes:
Morphe 35 Palette | Morphe x Kathleen Lights | |
Dimensions | 9 x 6 x ½ | 7 ¼ x 4 ¼ x ½ |
Number of Pans | 35 | 15 |
Depth of Pans | 2 ½ inch | 1 inch |
Price | $22.99 | $14.99 |
The Morphe x Kathleen Lights palette comes with a mix of matte and shimmer shades with several of the shades being custom designed by Kathleen herself. Swatches of each row are below!
Morphe x Kathleen Lights Palette Swatches
Cream-White, Shimmer (Morphe Single Called “Cream Puff”) | White-Bone, Matte (from a Morphe Palette) | Brown, Matte (Morphe Single Called “Deep Skin”) | Gold, Shimmer (1st custom shade of palette) | Cranberry, Shimmer (2nd custom shade of palette)
Cool Toned Brown, Matte (Morphe Single Called “Trouble”) | Purple Taupe, Shimmer (from Morphe 35T palette) | Bronze, Shimmer (3rd custom shade of palette) | Light Cranberry, Matte (4th custom shade of palette) | Deep Cranberry, Matte (Morphe Single Called “Secretive”)
Mossy Green, Shimmer (5th custom shade of palette) | Vibrant Green, Shimmer (6th custom shade of palette) | Burnt Orange, Matte (from Morphe 35O palette) | Camel Brown, Matte (from Morphe 35O palette) | Black, Matte (Morphe Single Called “Coal”)
Overall I really love the Morphe x Kathleen Lights palette. I think the colors are good for both day-to-day but also have pops of color that can liven up a look. From there I really like that the cover the packaging tells me what the palette is and that it has the magnetic closure. If this wasn’t already sold out I’d tell you to RUN not walk to get this palette. However, Morphe recently announced that they WILL BE RESTOCKING the Morphe x Kathleen Lights Palette, so make sure to follow me on my social media so you’ll know when that happens!

Those colors are absolutely fantastic! I love all of them. They are so poppy. Fun!
This looks like a really nice pallete. I like the colors that are included in it.
It’s awesome that you had the opportunity to try out this palette. The colors look like they’d be easy to work with and there would be some fun ones to experiment with too.
There certainly some really pretty colors in this kit! I like how there are colors that could be used for both day and night, and they seem really pigmented to they would show up on the skin quite well! Great review!
This Morphe X Kathleen Lights Palettes is something my daughter would love. She works in a bank and needs to be pretty and presentable everyday so make up is a “necessity” for her. I’m sharing this post with her. Maybe I can get this for her. Thanks for the review.
Those swatches are so gorgeous! I love my morphe but yours looks more beautiful.
Oh wow! I need to have one of this palette! I love those shades! Amazing!
I actually don’t know too much about makeup, but I love to watch videos and see new palettes. I may get out there and start exploring, thank you for sharing!
You should start exploring! Feel free to ask any questions you might have and I’ll try to answer them as best as I can.
I love watching Kathleen’s videos on youtube which is odd because I’m not really a big make up buff – but she’s fabulous. The colours of these are gorgeous, I’m not a huge fan of the green but the other colours are simply gorgeous! I also like the price point!
The price point is amazing! Kathleen does make some great videos and she has an amazing personality that comes through when you’re watching.
This palette looks amazing! I am so putting this on my holiday list!
It really is great!
They’re going to be restocking soon if you want to try to get your hands on it!
The swatches did come out sooo gorgeous! They look just as good on the eyes as well.
This would be a good palette for her. She could use the more neutral shades for work and the pops of color when she wanted to go out!
The packaging is amazing.
This would make a great gift for a makeup lover in your life!
They do show up on the skin really well! These swatches were one swipe in the pan and then one swipe on the hand and with no primer!
They were easy to work with! They blend well without blending away.
The colors are gorgeous!
There were some great pops of color in this palette.
