Recently I placed an HSN order for a few Too Faced products, one of which I reviewed already, and this Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is another one of the other things that I picked up. I have seen a lot of YouTubers rave about this foundation when it first came out but honestly I wanted to try it for myself to get my own opinions. Here are my thoughts on the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation.
As always, before we talk about my thoughts on the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation we need to talk about what exactly it claims to do. Supposedly the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is a luminous full coverage foundation that is oil free. The Too Faced Born This Way Foundation promises to give full coverage without being noticeable, essentially it will be natural looking and luminous.
The Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is infused with coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid. The coconut water is designed to replenish levels of moisture and yes even people with oily skin need to replenish the moisture in their skin, as a lot of people with oily skin use products that strip the skin of oils and moisture you need to put some of that goodness back. The alpine rose is used to help elasticity and brighten the appearance of the skin. Lastly, the hyaluronic acid works to smooth skin which will give you a more youthful appearance.
As someone with eczema, extremely dry skin, with dry patches sometimes finding a good foundation can be a bit difficult. I find with a lot of foundations that I have to really prep and pamper my skin ahead of time or the foundation will wind up clinging to said dry patches. Whenever I review a foundation that is the number one thing that I’m afraid of, well that and the shade matching. I mentioned earlier that I purchased the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation from HSN which, as you may know, is an online store. The thing that I was most hesitant about when it arrived was would the color matched. With 18 color shades there are is a variety for people to choose from but that also means that you might get a shade that is a shade to light or dark. Thankfully, the shade that I chose was an exact match!
I found the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation to do exactly what it claimed. It provided excellent coverage, I had a luminous glow, and most importantly it didn’t cling to any of my dry skin patches! When I wear the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation my skin looks just about perfect and when I take it off it doesn’t feel like it’s stripping my skin. If you’re looking for a medium-full coverage foundation that provides a luminous glow without looking greasy then make sure to try this one!
