A few weeks ago I reviewed the It Cosmetics CC+ Illuminating Foundation, read that review here, and I mentioned that I purchased it in a bundle with the It Cosmetics Tightline Mascara, read that review here, and the It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment. Since I already reviewed the other two products in that bundle that must mean it’s now time to finish off this set with a review of the It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment. I do want to mention ahead of time that the It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment that I received is the one pictured, however, the one that I am finding online is more of a lipstick looking thing. I think that these are the same product, however, if I’m wrong I do apologize.
It Cosmetics claims that their Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment is a 4-in-1 product that works as a lipstick, a gloss, a stain, and an Anti-aging balm. The Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment does this by infusing the product with acai, green and white teas, Vitamins A, C, and E, and their Hydra Luxe Technology which uses cherry oil, aloe, shea butter, jojoba, and plum oil. These all work together for anti-aging, hydration, and conditioning to the lips.
I will be completely honest and tell you that while the It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment does several of these claims it does not all of them. I’ve read a lot of the reviews of this product and it’s very hit or miss when it comes to it and the ones that see it as a miss claim it is just a glorified lip balm. I can see where those claims are coming from as it does not give the pigmentation, in my opinion, to be classified as a lipstick or stain and it does not give the glossiness to be classified as a gloss. It really does look and feel like a balm. That being said, this is definitely one of the better lip balms that I’ve tried. When I use the Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment my lips are more hydrated than any other balm and it does last a long period of time, as long as you’re not eating. In the time that I’ve had it I’ve loved it so much that I’ve used up over half of the tube. That is something that I’ve never done with lip balms, I usually lose them way before they can get that far, but I’ve loved this one so much that it’s always with me.
Overall, if you’re looking for a product that works like a lipstick, feels like a balm, has the glossiness of a gloss, and the pigmentation of a stain…this is not the product for you. Also if you don’t want to pay $20 for a “glorified lip balm” then this product is also not for you. However, if you have dry lips, or in my case very dry constantly chapping lips, and you don’t mind paying out the money to get them in great condition, then this product may be for you. I suggest heading to Ulta to swatch it first to make sure you like the feel. As for me, I’ll be picking up another one of these when my current one is all gone!

I love my Je Ne Seis Quoi lip treatment. The pretty pink stain it leaves on my lips is natural but better and it’s soft and moisturizing without being too balmy
I agree completely. I’m glad that they brought the exact one to Sephora now because I’m going to need a repurchase soon!
