A few months ago some of the bigger blogger and YouTubers got a PR package filled with the Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow products. Not only did the products inside look amazing but the box that it came in did as well. I thought to myself, one day I’ll be big enough that I get those PR Packages! And then Ulta made my dreams come true by offering a similar, if not the same, package available for sell! WHAT?! I jumped on that thing so fast it wasn’t even funny…and then I waited for it to get to me. Now that I have had the Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow products in my hands and have been able to use them are they full of all things unicorns? Or are they lackluster? Let’s find out!

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Highlighters

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Highlighters || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #beautyguru #wetnwild #unicornglow

The Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow set came with three Wet n Wild Color Icon Rainbow Highlighters; Unicorn Glow (left), Bronze Over the Rainbow (middle), and Everlasting Glow (right). Ultimately how good these highlighters are depends on how much work you want to put into them. If you just take a brush and dab it in you’re not going to get much product and you’ll have to go really in on it to be able to see anything on the face. HOWEVER, if you actually go into the highlighters to “swatch” them before you go in with the brush you disrupt the top layer of the product and it actually becomes a lot easier to use. This is actually a widely known issue with some of the Color Icon Highlighters and if you go and look on some of the bigger YouTubers reviews of these highlighters there will be TONS of comments of people telling them to disrupt that top layer before trying to apply. That being said once you get that top layer off you do get a nice highlight for $6 so like I said it depends on how much work you want to put into it.

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Highlighting Brush

The Wet n Wild Unicorn Highlighting Brush is soooo gorgeous and I wanted it to be things that dreams were made of…I was highly disappointed. Even after disrupting the first layer this brush didn’t do a great job, it didn’t do horrible, but it didn’t do as well as other highlighting brushes I’ve used (I’m looking at you Real Techniques Setting Brush). I actually found that this brush is actually better at blending out my highlight. If you’re in the market for a good cheek blending brush then this $5 brush may be for you.

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Pigments

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Loose Pigments || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #beautyguru #wetnwild #unicornglow

Okay now these were absolutely STUNNING. I loved the way that the Wet n Wild Color Icon Pigments for the Unicorn Glow Set looked. From left to right we have Mythical Dreams, Unicorn Wishes, and Pegasus Flutter. In the bottle I couldn’t pick a favorite and once I swatched them I couldn’t pick a favorite either. Due to these being loose pigments they can have fallout and be a bit messy butttttttt…

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Loose Pigments Open || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #beautyguru #wetnwild #unicornglow

Wet n Wild did come up with a pretty genius solution for the mess part. I’m LOVING the fact that these loose pigments have a little pop up cover for the sifter part. I will say that my ONLY complaint about these is that due to how small the holes are in the sifter it can take a bit of shaking to get the product out and that part can make a mess. I suggest shaking onto an empty palette / plate or into a bowl before picking up product.

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Lippies

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Lipsticks || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #beautyguru #wetnwild #unicornglow

The lip products for the Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow collection are listed as Prismatic Lipsticks and they are STUNNING! The blue based shade is Unicorn Soul and it is light blue as you start to apply it, however, as you swipe and it starts to settle with a more pink base with shimmer to it. The white based shade is Immortal Tears and is similar in that it goes on white and finishes with a lighter pink / purple base. The Prismatic Lipsticks can be worn alone or on top of other lipsticks to make them more prismatic.

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Final Thoughts

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Box || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #beautyguru #wetnwild #unicornglow

That was the Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow collection and I’m kind of on the fence about it. The highlighters were okay but I’m not exactly thrilled with the amount of work that you have to put into them. Wet n Wild’s Megaglow Highlighters seem to be a looser powder and therefore aren’t as hard to work at and at the same price you can actually get a stunning highlight for the same price. The brush isn’t as great as I hoped it would be but I did find a use for it. That being said, the loose pigments and lipsticks were totally worth the price of admission! I have been using the Wet n Wild brand since I was a teenager. I don’t know if I would be happy about the mess from shaking the loose pigment, either.

    Everything is so pretty!! Wet n Wild had always had really nice products for the price, so I will have to check my local drug store to find these.

    Beautiful and fun collection! Looks like the Unicorn trend is still alive and kicking (see what I did there). I really like the colors, they’re quite nice! Perfect for the summer as well especially if you love attending music festivals!

    Okay so this looks like such a fun box of unicorn goodies!! I could totally use a highlighter. I’m not the best at makeup, but I’m still that little girl who loved to get into her mama’s makeup, so yeah, I’d love this box. That highlighter brush is cute too. 🙂

    I love the name Unicorn Glow. That is so fun! I haven’t tried these products. And I do get impatient when things go on light. But they look like a lot of fun to try.

    I have heard mixed reviews about this collection. I love a good highlighter but not when you have to work so hard to get the results you want. I am curious to try out the lippies. They look like a lot of fun to play with.

    I love the packaging but it is a real shame that there was a lot of fall out and the pigmentation wasn’t superb. What a shame x

    Unicorn anything is so popular right now. These look like so much fun and would make the BEST holiday gifts for so many girls on my shopping list! And of course I need to pick them up now so I can try them before I gift.

      I’m actually going to be going back to embedding YouTube videos into the posts that shows the products in use. I haven’t been doing them lately due to our roof caving in from damage due to Hurricane Matthew.
