So this post is a bit late and I apologize for that. I actually decided after filming this video to film it a completely different way and I had to wait for all the components to arrive before filming. If you watch the video make sure to let me know what you think of the new format. I should mention that not ALL of my videos will be filmed this way, just some.

If you can’t see the above video, click here

Target Beauty Box

December Beauty Boxes Target Beauty Box #beauty #bbloggers #beautyboxes #subscriptionbox #target

The first of the December Beauty Boxes is the Target Beauty Box. The Target Beauty Box ranges in price from $5 to $10 depending on what is in the box and has free shipping. It’s pretty random on when they put up new Target Beauty Boxes so you just have to check their site periodically. Lately, the boxes have had “themes” and the theme for December was Glitz and Glam.

The Target Beauty Box had eight products in it that ranged from deluxe samples to full-size and had no packet samples. The box consisted of a travel size Clairol Hair Food Dry Shampoo; deluxe size samples of Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream, CeraVe Eye Repair Cream, and Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream; three Goody Ouchless Sweat Ties; and THREE full-size products which were Pacifica Love 3 Trio, CoverGirl Star Wars Lipstick in shade 30, and Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. Overall this December Beauty Box had a value of $51.72

Walmart Beauty Box

December Beauty Boxes Walmart Beauty Box #beauty #bbloggers #beautyboxes #subscriptionbox #walmart

The second of the December Beauty Boxes is the Walmart Beauty Box. The Walmart Beauty Box ships randomly during the four seasons of the year and tends to have a random selection of products. Due to the randomness of it’s nature you are only charged $5 for the shipping of the box.

The Walmart Beauty Box had a total of ten products in it with four of them being sample packets and the 6 being deluxe sized samples (I only list something as travel size if you can purchase it from the retailer in the received size). The four sample packets were Centrum Vitamints, Ken Paves Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner, Olay Regenerist Brightening Moisturizer, and J by Jennifer Aniston perfume sample. The six non-foil packets consisted of Pure Silk Raspberry Shave Cream, Pantene Pro-V Extra Hold Hairspray, Neutrogena Healthy Skin Booster Face Cleanser, Dial 7 Day Moisturizing Lotion, NSpa Coconut Rich Body Butter, and a pack of eight Goody SlideProof Elastics. Overall this December Beauty Box had a value of $7.36…I kid you not.

Amazon Luxury Beauty Box

December Beauty Boxes Amazon Luxury Beauty Box #beauty #bbloggers #beautyboxes #subscriptionbox #amazon

The third of the December Beauty Boxes is the Amazon Luxury Beauty Box. The Amazon Luxury Beauty Box launched in December at an $8.99 price point unless you bought something from their Luxury Section and then it was free. I have no clue if this will be returning again, however, as soon as I know I will post about it!

The Amazon Luxury Beauty Box had a total of fourteen products; five “foil” packets, five deluxe samples, and four perfume samples. The foil packets consisted of L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate, Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion for Face and Eyes, Rituals Whipped Body Cream, Juice Beauty Trio of Cleanser/Serum/Moisturizer, and Wen Cleansing Conditioner in Pomegranate. The perfume samples consisted of English Laundry’s Riviera, Catherine Malandrino’s Style de Paris, Calvin Klein’s Euphoria, and Lacoste Live for Him. The deluxe samples were Proraso Liquid After Shave Cream, Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask, StriVectin Advanced Retinol Night Treatment (Travel Size), Make Eyeshadow in Cement, and Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Peach. Overall this December Beauty Box had a value of about $51.58.

Birchbox

December Beauty Boxes Birchbox #beauty #bbloggers #beautyboxes #subscriptionbox #birchbox

The last of the December Beauty Boxes is the December Birchbox. Birchbox costs a base $10/month and you get 4-5 deluxe samples in your box. Also, each month you get to choose one of your samples, the featured box, or to get a completely random box. For more information on Birchbox, click here.

For the December Birchbox I chose to get a random box and it had five items in it. The five items in my December Birchbox were Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo, The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew, Harvey Prince Sea Salt Texturzing Spray, Coola Classic SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer, Coastal Scents Formal Eyes. Overall this box had a value of about $15.00 – $20.00.

There you have my December Beauty Boxes. For more details make sure to check the above video!

I had to laugh when I saw what the value of the Walmart box was compared to the others. Of course, I didn’t even know Walmart had a beauty subscription box. I’ve given Birchbox subscriptions as gifts, but I’ve never bought one for myself. I like how you showed all the different boxes in one video.

These beauty boxes look wonderful! I’d love to sign up for a beauty box. The Amazon Luxury one sounds so wonderful! I love to try new products so this would be a great option!

I’m hoping that they bring back the Amazon Luxury Box. All those samples (even the foil packets) for under $10 isn’t bad at all.

You got a lot of fun samples! Beauty boxes are so fun but I always end up with so many samples, it’s hard to use them all!

After filming and taking photos I immediately sort my samples to products I will try, might try, and “there’s no way in HECK I’m ever going to try this”. The last pile I immediately let my MIL sort through and then let friends sort through. I sort through the might pile every few weeks and then add those to the will or won’t and then give the won’t to friends.

These boxes are such a great way to try out a variety of products! I don’t wear a lot of makeup so I have never tried anything like this but might have to give them a try.

Four at once, woohoo! I bought the Target box, and I still haven’t used everything in it but I liked it a lot. I passed on the WMT box but I have the coconut body butter and I like that. I had no idea that Amazon had a beauty box! I’m not a fan of the foil packets coz I always forget to use them & I often can’t tell whether I like them enough to purchase, but it’s cool that AMZN did it and I hope they will again. I just got my first Birchbox, the welcome box and I liked what I got. I love beauty boxes, so much fun to receive!

I have the same issue with foil packets! Or if there is enough in the packet to use more than once there’s no way to keep the integrity of the product once the packet is opened to use it again.

Birchbox has a Birchbox Men’s subscription, when Target puts out their’s they always have an option for a men’s box, and Amazon had a men’s box as well. My husband is just very particular with what he uses (he’s not the “beauty” product reviewer lol) so they’d just be a waste of money for us 🙂

I have been going back in forth about getting a beauty box! I am on a limited budget but I like having a little something coming for me each month! I really like the Birch Box but there are so many out there! This is such a hard choice!

It really is a hard choice! I actually just got my last box from Birchbox and won’t be reupping for the time being. I’m hoping that the Macy’s and Sephora boxes will open to the general public relatively soon as their boxes are around the same price point but seem to feature product I might would actually use and review.
