Birchbox is a monthly subscription with a base price of $10/month. If you subscribe to the base subscription you get 4-5 samples per month, however, if you up your plan to $30/month then you will also get 2 full-size products in your box each month. Either way you can participate in the “Sample Choice” each month, for no extra charge where you can choose an item in your box (or get a guest editor’s box) for that month. For the month of November Birchbox has partnered with Tati from GlamLifeGuru for this month’s Editor’s Choice box. The sample choices for this month were from Birchbox’s newly created LOC makeup line. Due to the items that were in the Editor’s Choice box I decided to make that my choice for this month!
LOC Shadow Stick
The first item in the November GlamLifeGuru Birchbox was one of the LOC One & Done Shadow Sticks in Day Trip. These were done in collaboration with Tati, hince the LOC <3 Tati on the stick, and they do have some rather nice pigmentation. As to whether or not I would purchase the trio set that Birchbox sells, you’ll have to wait for the review to see!

Shiseido Eye Concentrate
The second item in the November GlamLifeGuru Birchbox was a nice sized sample of Shiseido Eye Concentrate which is supposed to be good for helping fine lines and dark circles, which I have. I’ve always heard great things about Shiseido but have never actually tried any of their products. I’ll changing that by adding this into my skin care routine shortly.

Avène Hydrating Serum
The third item in the November GlamLifeGuru Birchbox was a sample of Avène Hydrating Serum. According to Tati this is a great product for hydrating the skin before putting on makeup. As we all know I fall on the severe end of the dry line so anything that can hydrate my skin I’m willing to give a try. I haven’t had the chance to try this yet but when I do I will be putting a review up!

Jouer Lip Enhancer
The fourth item in the November GlamLifeGuru Birchbox is a sample of Jouer Lip Enhancer. I actually received a sample of this awhile back when I purchased over a certain amount of Jouer products (I bought a foundation!) and I really enjoy it. Seeing this in the box was a bonus and had me leaning towards getting this month’s box but the next product is what did it for me…

Living Proof Dry Shampoo
The last item in the November GlamLifeGuru Birchbox was a pretty good sized sample of Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo. I actually saw this on TV (or maybe Popsugar) recently and have been wanting to give it a try but the Sephora’s near me are always out of it and I dislike purchasing products online that are going to delay an order so I’ve been putting off purchasing this. This was actually the item that made me choose this box and I can’t wait to see if it does what it advertises!

Those were all the items in the November GlamLifeGuru Birchbox. I love that this box had a value of over $50 and I love even more that most of the products are ones that are good for my skin. While you might think that this would make me happy it actually doesn’t. You feel out a profile on Birchbox when you signup so that you can get items that are good for you. However, most of my boxes are filled with items that I’ll never use because they’re the exact opposite. I actually found a box that was great for my skin and it was one that was premade and available to anyone to choose. That is very aggravating.
I’ve given BirchBox subscriptions as gifts on several occasions and the recipients always, always love it. It’s a great gift idea and I love that you’re saving money, too.
I’ve been wanting to try living proof products! It looks like Birchbox has improved A LOT since I last used it. I might have to try it again 🙂
