Before subscribing to different subscription boxes I had never heard of Dr. Brandt. However, after receiving a product or two inside of subscription boxes I’ve come to enjoy and look for Dr. Brandt products. When the opportunity to try the Pore Perfecting Exfoliator I jumped at it because with my large pores I needed it.
Before we talk about what I thought of the Pore Perfecting Exfoliator let’s talk about what it is and how to properly use it. To begin with the Dr. Brandt skin care line was made from a professional dermatology practice and with clinical research, so the products are professional quality without the prescription. As for the Pore Perfecting Exfoliator it is supposed to “refine the appearance of pores” while deep cleaning them and smoothing the skin. To achieve this you follow a few simple steps:
- Dampen the skin water
- Slowly and gently massage product for 1 minute, avoiding the eye area
- Let sit for 1 – 2 minutes for activation/deep cleaning to occur
- Rinse well and pat dry
- Repeat 1 – 2 times per week with 3 days between use
Those are easy enough steps to follow but once you do does the Pore Perfecting Exfoliator really work? If you have only slightly large pores or pores that are deep down dirty then yes the Pore Perfecting Exfoliator will probably work wonders for you. For me, who has very large pores that trap dirt exceptionally well, the Pore Perfecting Exfoliator doesn’t work as well as I would like. I do think it works great as a general exfoliator, however, for me it didn’t decrease the size of my pores or clean them as deeply as I would like. Again though, if you have normal – slightly large pores then you should totally pickup and try the Pore Perfecting Exfoliator!
