*sigh* I should change my blog name. Instead of Southeast by Midwest my blog should be called “Reviews MONTHS or YEARS after the product releases.” *eyeroll* I purchased the Zoya Naked Manicure Hydrate and Heal System the day it launched but never got around to posting about it. However, with everyone mentioning how dry their hands are, I thought it would be a good time to review this for everyone.
About the Hydrate and Heal Kit
What I have pictured here is the Retail Kit, purchase here, which consists of a 2 oz. Hydrating Serum and 3 oz. Healing Cream that retails for $23.00. There is also a Trial Kit that contains a 2 oz. Hydrating Serum and 2 oz. Healing Cream that retails for $21.00 and a Pro Kit that contains 8 oz. of each product, however, the cream has a pump in the Pro Kit. The Pro Kit retails for $56.00.
Zoya claims that the Hydrate and Heal products are not only immediately hydrating but with continued use they have an effect as well. These two products can be used on the hands and the body as well. However, Zoya warns that they should NOT be used on the face or next due to how sensitive those two are. According to Zoya this system works by providing moisture with the serum and then locking it in with the cream.
Zoya Naked Manicure Hydrate and Heal Kit Review
If you are using this as a system you would apply the serum first. The Hydrating Serum contains hylauronic acid and antioxidants to provide moisture to the skin. I personally found that after misting this on my hands and rubbing it in, my hands were way more moisturized than before. After rubbing the serum in it absorbs well into the skin and doesn’t leave a residue behind. Lastly, there is no fragrance with the serum. If you’re wanting to use the serum alone you can purchase it here for $12.00.
The next step in the kit is to use the Healing Cream to lock in that moisture. This is a lightweight lotion that doesn’t leave a greasy residue on the skin. I do want to mention that there is a slight fragrance with the cream and at first I attributed that to the raspberry oil that is in the cream. However, I also noticed on the packaging that one of the last ingredients is fragrance. Personally, I think they added the fragrance to boost that raspberry scent a tad as the fragrance does fade away after you’ve rubbed it in and worn it for a few minutes. I did want to mention that though in case anyone is sensitive to fragrance in products. When used over the serum the cream helps lock-in the moisture and you start to see results in the dryness of where you apply this with continued use. If you’re wanting to use the cream alone you can purchase it here.
Final Thoughts on the Hydrate and Heal Kit
Honestly, if you have dry skin then I would recommend all day every day. As a matter of fact, if you have dry skin outside of what’s going on then I would suggest getting the Pro Kit even if you’re not a manicurist. However, if you only have dry skin because the amount you’re washing and sanitizing your hands at the moment and you plan on going back to your normal afterwards then I’d suggest either the Trial or Retail Kit. These are smaller versions that will be good for just a small amount of time. The only people I would not suggest these to are those who have oily hands.

These sound perfect right now! With all of the hand washing, this added moisture sounds fantastic!
Hand and dish washing. I asked a few friends if they were washing their hands like drastically more because I couldn’t figure out if they were eating at home like they were talking about on Facebook, not going anywhere to adhere to their state’s SIP, etc. why their hands would be so much drier unless they just weren’t washing their hands enough before hand. Several of them told me that because of the eating in more they’re doing WAY more dishes, especially with the kids home now.
What a great idea! Perfect gift for some for now too
Agreed. I’ve thought about gifting it to a few people but the hand cream having fragrance always brings me up short.
I’d be concerned with the fragrance since some reviews have mentioned that it’s strong. Finding a fragrance free hand cream is always on my list.
There isn’t a fragrance in the serum, however, there is one in the cream. I didn’t find it to be a strong fragrance and I found that the scent faded away after a few minutes. I don’t know if I’m not as sensitive to fragrance as others are but that was my experience. I also wore this for several weeks before moving to California and then brought it back out to refresh myself on the product before writing the review. So I don’t know if the scent fades in strength as the product ages.
As for the fragrance free hand cream, I hear you on that one. High end ones have added fragrance for “niceness”. There are lower end ones that add it to cover up the nothingness of their hand cream. I don’t know if you saw but not to long ago Jen Luvs Reviews did a video on “The Real Reason Your Hand Cream Sucks” where she ranks some of the more popular hand creams and if they have fragrance in them or not is one of her talking points. If you’re still in the market for one you might want to give her video a watch.
Now this does sound like a good kit for sure! Always on the lookout for good ones are I need to keep mine in good form for blogging! Well I try anyway lol!
Haha don’t change your name 😉 Pfft I have polishes that I bought way back when and still to wear and blog! Trying to work my way through my older ones, but I probably should (eeekkkk) stop buying more!!!!
I’m horrible about keeping purchasing even though my backlog has a backlog that has spawned a backlog of its own.
