Do you ever get excited when amazing things happen to people you don’t even know? I do all the time, especially when it comes to YouTubers. I KNOW how much work goes into this so when I see Mel Thompson talking about her collab with Christian Audette, Katie Marie talking about PR while her kids chatter in the background, Samantha March get to do a highlighter collab with Ofra I am ECSTATIC for them. I kid you not, I’m on the other side of the computer clapping, cheering, “You go girl!!!”ing while watching their videos. My excitement is no where near what they have to be feeling but getting to see hard work rewarded with amazing opportunities is what I’m all about. I tell you that so that you know that while I’m only just now talking about the Ofra x Samantha March Collection, I straight up bought this collection the DAY it was released.

About the Ofra x Samantha March Collection

This collaboration between Samantha and Ofra is actually a continuation of a collaboration that happened last year. Last year Ofra collabed with a few influencers and for Samantha’s part she did a lip bundle of her favorite Ofra liquid lipsticks and a highlighter that was a duo of Star Island and Pillow Talk. Welllll this collaboration went so well that Ofra decided to work with Samantha and extend out the collaboration with custom items that are a permanent part of their line.

For this part of the collaboration Ofra and Samantha came out with two new cheek duos, renamed the highlighter, and came out with a lip duo. The two new cheek duos have blushes and bronzers that Samantha created and named, the highlighter is the one from last year but with a name change from @marchbeautyword Highlighter to Start Inspired Highlighter, and the lip duo is two full-size lip products that Samantha created and named.

Chick Lit Blush

The Chick Lit Blush is named after Samantha’s blog, Chick Lit Plus. It is a duo blush that can be used individually or swirled together. The matte side is a pink nude and the shimmer side is a warm deep rose. Chick Lit comes in Ofra’s signature square white compact that has a magnetic closure. It houses 10 grams of product and retails for $35.00.

River Bronzer

Samantha named the bronzer duo River because she has a lot of memories around the Mississippi River. The matte side is a light neutral mocha and the shimmer side is a warm copper bronze. River comes in the same packaging as Chick Lit, has the same 10 grams of products, and also retails for $35.00.

Start Inspired Highlighter

The Start Inspired Highlighter is named after Samantha’s podcast. It is a duo highlighter that can be used individually or swirled together. The duo has Star Island, a warm ivory, and Pillow Talk, a soft pearl pink. Start Inspired has the same packaging as the other two duos, has the same 10 grams of product, and retails for $35.00.

By Samantha March Lip Duo

The By Samantha March Lip Duo contains two full-size lip products. The first is a mocha nude mauve liquid lipstick named Story, as Samantha is a writer as well (if you’re into chick lit [ha] books then you should look for her books on Amazon). The other is a pearl lip gloss with iridescent shimmer named Millie, Samantha’s grandmother. These can be worn separately or together. The liquid lipstick has 8 mL of product while the lip gloss has 3.5 mL, and the duo retails for $27.00.

Final Thoughts on the Samantha March Collection

Ofra Cosmetics x Samantha March Collection Final Thoughts || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #ofracosmetics #ofraxsamanthamarch

Honestly, even without being a fan of Samantha’s, this collection is amazing. The blush can be used lightly or built up for more pigmentation and the fact that there is a matte and shimmer side means you can customize exactly how the blush looks for you. The bronzer is the same way, however, the big selling point for me on the bronzer is that it looks AMAZING and we all know I’m not a fan of the bronzing. This is my third of the Start Inspired Highlighter (I have two of the @marchbeautyword highlighters which is the same thing) so we can safely assume that I love it BUT the reason I love it is because this can really work for so many skin tones and preferences. Prefer a warm highlight? Use the Star Island side. Prefer a pinky highlight? Use the Pillow Talk side. Want to be wowed by an amazing mix of the two? Swirl them together and apply. The lip gloss is STUNNING both by itself and on top of other lip products. I do recommend applying the gloss to your hand and using a brush to apply, or getting product from the wand with the brush, that way you don’t contaminate the gloss. As for the liquid lipstick, I really like Ofra’s formula and Story doesn’t disappoint there. However, this shade is a little to deep for my preferences.

Ultimately, if you are looking for something new in any of these products, you might want to give these a try. If you’re wanting to support a collaboration between a brand and a YouTuber, you might want to give these a try. If you’re already a fan of Ofra’s formulas, you might want to give these a try. The only reason, in my opinion, to not give these a try is if these are just not shades that work for you and, obviously, if the previous scenarios don’t work for you.

  2. The blush is downright stunning! and the highlighter is too. I have one of the Ofra gold highlighters, maybe Rodeo Drive?, and it is so darn pigmented. I wish I had somewhere to wear it!

    • Who needs somewhere to wear it? Wear it to the kitchen and rock it 😉

    • I have those days as well. I go around commenting on blogs trying to make friends in the beauty world (so I have people to talk about makeup with because the Hubs listens but he doesn’t completely get it lol) and sometimes I’m like “Uhhhh what can I say about this as I’ve never even heard of this brand let alone figure out what this product is supposed to BE.” lol

  4. I like OFRA’s eye and cheek products, they work well on me. The lipsticks are rarely my shade but the real reason I don’t buy them is that they have a fragrance. These are all pretty though.
