Not long ago I got a new magnetic palette, more on that Friday, so of course I had to get more eye shadows to put into it. That’s why you’re getting a Makeup Geek Eye Shadow Haul today! Aren’t you excited? I know I am! If you want to know what all I picked up in my Makeup Geek Eye Shadow Haul check out the video below or just keep scrolling.
Vanilla Bean
The first shadow that I picked up was Vanilla Bean. Vanilla Bean is a neutral shadow that is listed as being matte with a slight shimmer or sheen to it. There is 1.8 grams in the pan and it can be purchased for $6.00 at either Beauty Bay or Makeup Geek.
I chose this shade because I thought it would make a good lid shade or a starting crease shade.
Rebel
The second shadow that I picked up was Rebel. Rebel is a deep dusty purple that has a gold overlay and shimmer. There is 1.8 grams in the pan and it can be purchased for $6.00 at either Beauty Bay or Makeup Geek.
I chose this shade because I loved the look of the purple and gold together. I’m hoping that the gold overlay holds throughout the shadow and doesn’t fade away like most overlays do.
Nostalgic
The third shadow that I picked up was Nostalgic. Nostalgic is a metallic bubble gum pink in the foiled finish which means that the 1.8 gram shadow costs $10.00 instead of $6.00. It can be purchased from Beauty Bay or Makeup Geek.
I chose this shade because I loved the bubble gum pink shade and I thought it would be gorgeous on the inner portion of the lid.
Insomnia
The fourth shadow that I picked up was Insomnia. Insomnia is a red brown with blue reflects and is also a foiled finish. There is 1.8 grams in the pan and it can be purchased for $10.00 from Makeup Geek.
I chose this shade because it was one of the shadows that was exclusive to the Makeup Geek x MannyMUA eye shadow palette. However, when I saw that this gorgeous shade was now available as a single I HAD to have it!
Homecoming
The fifth shadow that I picked up was Homecoming. Homecoming is a brown with gold shimmer. There is 1.8 grams in the pan and it can be purchased for $6.00 from Beauty Bay or Makeup Geek.
I chose this shadow because I thought it would partner well with Vanilla Bean from the beginning and the next shadow for a neutral with a pop of something look.
Creased
The sixth shadow that I picked up was Creased. Creased is a medium brown / taupe matte eye shadow. There is 1.8 grams in the pan and it can be purchased for $6.00 from Beauty Bay or Makeup Geek.
I chose this shadow, as I said, to go with Vanilla Bean and Homecoming in a neutral look. I also thought it would be a good crease shade because…you know…it’s called Creased…
Cosmopolitan
The seventh shadow that I picked up was Cosmopolitan. Cosmopolitan is a shimmer shadow that is rose gold with extra gold flecks. There is 1.8 grams in the pan and it can be purchased for $6.00 from Beauty Bay or Makeup Geek.
I chose this shade because I saw it in a swatch photo with some other shades and I loved the rose goldiness of it. PLUS shades like this really make my blue eyes pop.
Blacklight
The eighth shadow that I picked up was Blacklight. Blacklight is a duochrome eye shadow that is an electric purple with icy blue reflects. There is 1.8 grams in the pan and it can be purchased for $6.00 from Makeup Geek.
I chose this shadow because how could I not choose it? It looks absolutely gorgeous both in the swatch photos on the site and the in pan photo as well. It didn’t disappoint once I got it in my hands!
Final Thoughts on Makeup Geek Eye Shadow Haul
Overall I’m super happy with the eight shadows that I picked up in my Makeup Geek Eye Shadow Haul. I feel that these shadows will worth well together, work well with other shadows in my collection, and work well the other Makeup Geek shadows in my collection (see what else I have here, here, and here. I highly suggest you pick up some Makeup Geek Eye Shadows yourself, if you haven’t already, to try out. I haven’t been disappointed by a single shadow (ha!) so far!
I do want to mention that the shop that I linked above, Beauty Bay, is a site that ships to the U.S, U.K, and many other International countries. They actually offer FREE tracked delivery for overs over 15 pounds. If you click through and the country is set to one other than the one you’re in, just scroll to the bottom and click the box with the country name in it and change it to the country that you live in. I mention this because the prices in the widget below, when you hover over them, will show up as $6.51 but that is only because it’s exchanging it from pounds to dollars. When you go to the site the $6 shadows will be $6 for US and £4.95 for UK. Hope that clears anything up!

I love all the different colors. I tend to use more of the neutrals for myself. Starting with the vanilla bean would be perfect for myself.

Those eye shadows have a color for any taste or occasion. I generally don’t wear any but the Vanilla Bean would be my color for most days.
I have to admit I’ve not tried this brand before, but I am loving these shades! The browns and neutrals are just gorgeous with the shades you can see in them.

I thought the Blacklight with its electric purple tones looked cool. That would be one way to standout a bit when going out.
There is an art to wearing eye shadow. I’ve seen some disasters on women and the sad thing is they believe they look good. These colors are very pretty and I’m sure look awesome when applied properly.
