So I’m talking a few weeks off of doing nail swatches for Mani Monday but I didn’t want to miss anymore posts since I had to take last week off due to registering for school. Seriously it took all week people, the school did NOT have their act together this year! Anywho, due to that I thought I would do my first ever Mail Haul Monday and share some things that I had gotten in the mail over the past few weeks. To see what all is in my Mail Haul Monday check out the video below or just keep scrolling. Oh and if you want to meet Harry the Bearded Dragon, check out the video as well as she makes a cameo at the beginning and at the end! I thought it fit for one of the products that I got…
Mail Haul Monday: PR Packages
So let’s get the elephant that’s in the room so that we can have a bit more space to stretch our legs and get comfy while we talk about these products. A few of these products were “PR” packages that were sent to me for consideration. Let’s go over those real fast shall we?
Ole Henriksen Serum
The first item that I got was the Ole Henriksen Retin-Alt Power Serum that was sent to me from Influenster for free. As always anytime I talk about this product all opinions will be my own, although I can’t really say anything about it at the moment because I only got it a few days ago so I haven’t had a chance to use it. I do love that they included a cute little headband in the package though!
Crystal Peel Soap and Cream
The second and third item that I got was the Crystal Peel Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Soap and the Crystal Peel Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Face Creme. These were just randomly sent to my PO box, and are actually the first products to be sent to me that I didn’t contact the company first! Super excited about that, I’ll have to look into these more to see if they are something I can use or if I’ll have to pass them on to someone else.
Pixi Glow Products
The fourth item, and last PR item, that I got were some Pixi Glow products. This was actually sent out to brand ambassadors weeks ago when I was suffering from my diverticulitis flare up so I thought that I was removed from the PR list, however, this randomly showed up at my post office so I was super excited to find out that I am in fact still on the list! Or at least I was, let’s hope that they realize that I didn’t post about it because it hadn’t shown up yet! I’m actually going to be doing a dedicated video for these next week so be on the lookout for that!
Mail Haul Monday: Subscription Boxes
Goodness gracious the status of subscription boxes these days. I went ahead and cancelled Sephora Play so I didn’t have to wait around for that, however, one of these was beyond ridiculous that even as cheap as it is I will probably be cancelling it as well. Let’s see what beauty subscription boxes made their way into my mailbox.
Boxycharm
The first beauty box that made its way into my mailbox was Boxycharm and because I unbox this on it’s own and review the previous months box in the same post you don’t get to see what is in this box. However, come back in a week or two and you’ll be able to see what is in this box.
Target Beauty Box
The second beauty box that I got was the Target Beauty Box and this box was amazing, which I knew it was going to be. The thing that I love about the Target Beauty Box is that it isn’t really subscription based. Instead each month between the 1st and the 7th Target will put up that months box for people to purchase if they so choose. The Target Beauty Box is usually $7 but can sometimes be a bit more depending on brand and size of items but I do believe it has free shipping!
Walmart Beauty Box
The third, and last, beauty box that I received was the Walmart Beauty Box and although this box is $5, shipping included, I might just be cancelling it. Between getting boxes MONTHS late and then getting a box that was filled with mostly foil packets I’m getting a bit fed up. They have one more chance to wow me and if they don’t I’ll be unsubbing from this one as well.
Mail Haul Monday: Giveaway Win
So I won a giveaway a few months ago for a hoodie and I’m so glad that I did, check out this hoodie!
Isn’t that magnificent?! So the story behind the Lil Bub Hoodie is that Lil Bub is a cat with some deformities that was featured on the Interwebs and became famous. However, Lil Bub and his owner didn’t want to keep all that fame to themselves and instead decided to share it with other disadvantaged animals. Lil Bub’s ASPCA fund helps other special needs with different bills they may have, if you’d like to donate to the Lil Bub fund you can do so here or you can purchase Lil Bub merch at Into the AM which you can get to via the Lil Bub Hoodie link above!
Mail Haul Monday: Purchased Items
A haul wouldn’t be a haul if there weren’t a few items that I had purchased with my own hard owned and very rare money…
Cast a Spell Box
What’s this?! What’s this?!…crap wrong movie… The Cast a Spell Box is OBVIOUSLY a Harry Potter themed box and of course you can’t see inside it yet, what kind of spoilerific show do you think I’m running here?! If you want to see the five Harry Potter themed nail polishes from indie brands and a few extra items, make sure to come back next week when I’ll unbox it!
Night Owl Lacquers Wax Melts
I was so intrigued by Night Owl Lacquer, the brand behind the Cast a Spell box, that I had to get some of her waxes as well. I’m not going to go through them all here because I’m planning on reviewing these in a few weeks as well but I will tell you that the big clamshell in the middle is the Nightfall wax melt that is her signature scent. It’s supposed to smell like walking through the woods at night and that is just perfect to me!
Hopefully you enjoyed my Mail Haul Monday! Make sure to come back next week for that Cast a Spell Unboxing!
