Normally when you hear the words “bad” and “hair day” in the same sentence you probably flash to hair all over the place and just total chaos, I know I do. OGX Beauty understands that and they want to CHANGE that. The idea behind the National Badass Hair Day is that OGX Beauty does not believe in bad hair days, instead your hair is like you, unique and a rockstar. You just need the right materials to get it that way. OGX Beauty was kind enough to send me some of their Fan Favorite products for us to talk about today.
The first OGX Beauty Fan Favorite product is the OGX Thick and Full + Biotin & Collagen Shampoo and OGX Thick and Full + Biotin & Collagen Conditioner duo. This duo has Vitamin B7 biotin, hydrolyzed wheat protein, and collagen inside to make hair appear healthier, thicker, and fuller. It also has a wonderful scent and is not tested on animals! Before we move on can we just talk about that super cute gold washi tape that OGX Beauty used to secure the tops for shipping? I’m in love!
The next OGX Beauty Fan Favorite product is the OGX Hydrate & Repair + Argan Oil of Morocco Creamy Hair Butter. The hair butter is designed to be used as an intense hair treatment that can be used briefly in the shower, as a deep conditioner in the shoer, as a leave-in conditioner out of the shower, or a body treatment (Holy multi-tasking product Batman!). To use briefly in the shower you apply and let sit for 3 minutes and then rinse out, as a deep conditioner in the shower you apply and let sit for 20 to 25 minutes before rinsing out, as a leave-in you apply a small amount to damp hair and then style as you normally would, and for a body conditioner you use as you would a normal body butter. For $9 you can do all that with it!
The next OGX Beauty Fan Favorite product is the OGX Weightless Hydration + Coconut Water Weightless Hydration Oil. The Coconut Water Hydration Oil combines coconut water, coconut oil, and electrolytes to help provide intense moisture to dry hair. You use the Hydration Oil by spritzing it on damp hair and then blowdrying to infuse the product into the hair, you can then spritz again afterwards for extra shine. You can also spritz some of the Hydration oil on dry hair if you’re having issues with fly-a-ways (YASS!!). The Coconut Water Hydration oil smells soooooooo good, like I can’t even with this product. It smells like coconut cookies and it makes me hungry all day but the shine it gives is sooo worth it. (I’ve been using this in my kit for a few months now!)
The next OGX Beauty Fan Favorite product is the OGX Healing + Vitamin E Penetrating Oil. The Penetrating Oil is a concentrated oil that is infused with Vitamin E to help dry, brittle hair become healthier. To use you just apply some of the oil into your hand, rub hands together, and then run hands through towel dried hair to provide a healthy glow.
The next OGX Beauty Fan Favorite product is the OGX Quenching + Coconut Curls Frizz-Defying Curl Styling Milk. The Coconut Curl Styling milk uses a blend of citrus oil, coconut oil, and sweet honey to help tame frizzy curls and give a natural softness to the curls. If you have curly hair and are wanting to tame those curls and prevent frizz (and smell amazing!) then apply this to damp, towel dried curls.
The next OGX Beauty Fan Favorite product is the OGX Moroccan Sea Salt Spray. The Sea Salt Spray is designed for people who like a more natural but textured wave look to the hair. The spray uses argan oil of Morocco (remember that from the hair butter?), sea salt, and sea kelp to provide shine and fullness for that beach tousled look. You can use the Sea Salt Spray by spraying on damp hair and scrunching (technical term alert) with fingers and allowing to air dry, for more volume you can blow dry with a diffuser instead of air drying. However, if you’re someone that just basic scrunching won’t give you waves you can dry the hair, curl it with a curling (or flat) iron, finger-comb the curls to give them that messy look, and then spray with the Sea Salt. To make the waves last even longer spray with the next (and last) product before curling!
The last OGX Beauty Fan Favorite product is the OGX Renewing + Argan Oil of Morocco Elevated Finish Spray. This Finish Spray is a water-free formula that is blended with argan oil that provides weightless hydration while giving soft curls. Now here are some tips, before I started in Cosmetology school I would see Finish (or hair if you’d prefer) Sprays that would claim they left hair soft and brushable but my hair never would be so I though “false advertising”. Once I started Cosmetology school I realized that the hair spray probably did do all the things that it claimed it was just user error and I was doing it all wrong! To properly use your hair spray it should be held 8 to 12 inches away from the head, that’s right if you’re like me and you’re holding it super close to the hair that could be one of the reasons you’re getting crunch hair! Also, hair spray is not meant to be sprayed, moved, sprayed, moved it’s meant to be done in a fluid motion of spraying AND moving all at the same time but still 8 to 12 inches away from the head. It took some practice for that one because as I spray and move I naturally try to get more comfortable which means bringing the can closer and that’s a no-no! That sounds like a great product line. I get keratin treatments so I can only use certain things on my hair – I will have to ask my stylist about this 🙂
I have used OGX once before. I haven’t used it in years but I loved how my hair felt. They have so many amazing smiling products too. I always sniff to see what I like better. Haha. I think I am gonna have to try them again. Maybe when my current stash runs out. =)
OGX is by far my favorite brand when it comes to hair products. Their coconut water line works miracles in my hair.
Their coconut water is AMAZING. I recommend it to everybody who needs a little moisture in their hair.
These look like awesome products. I have frizzy hair, so I always make sure to moisturize my hair with ether Argan or coconut oil. I would love to try these products.
There is all sorts of products I need to try. I have never heard of any of these but probably could use a few for my hair.
This reminds me of another brand that has the same packaging. I’m trying to think of the name but can’t at the moment. I’m sure they’re pretty good products and Argan Oil stuff seem to be the rage right now.
You might be thinking of the brand Organix. I actually find that their products, Organix, leave my hair super stretchy and prone to tangling.
Visually the products are cute. I’m a sucker for packaging and the attention to detail. Gold is so on trend. I love coconut water, it does wonders for my hair.

I have used this brand of aragon oil before. I need to try the other products in the line because I LOVE how it makes my hair feel.

I really love the versatility of the hair butter. I use a leave-in conditioner daily and like to deep condition my hair once every two weeks.
