I guess the theme for this week’s post is late reviews. Honestly, I purchased, photographed, and used the ColourPop No Filter Concealer last summer… don’t come for me, I know. That being said I have used this numerous times during this year, including the day that I am writing this. So if you want to know my thoughts on this concealer, keep scrolling.
About the ColourPop Concealer
The full-size ColourPop Concealer has 0.14 oz or 4.0 grams of product, comes in a frosted glass bottle, has a soft matte lid, has a doe foot applicator, and retails for $7.00. This concealer can be purchased at ColourPop.
ColourPop claims that this concealer has a lightweight long wearing formula that is crease proof. ColourPop claims that this formula has soft blurring pigments which allow the concealer to cover dark circles, blemishes, etc. with one swipe. They also claim that it is infused with marine extracts which hydrate the skin while still being matte. The ingredients for this concealer are:
ColourPop No Filter Concealer Review
As I mentioned above, the No Filter Concealer comes in a frosted glass bottle with a soft matte cap and has a doe foot applicator. I love the packaging for this concealer. Concealer in squeeze tubes, in pots/compacts, or with brush/poof ball applicators. I find that these concealers are either harder to apply or unhygienic. When concealers have a doe foot applicator I can either swipe them on a clean palette or use a clean brush to pull concealer off the applicator and put on the palette.
As for the concealer itself, I picked up the shade Light 12, which let me tell you is the WRONG shade for me. Light 12 is a rosy cool concealer for light skin tones. I need to realize that I am way more Casper than I think I am because WOW this shade is quite a bit darker than my foundation currently is. That being said, I still use this concealer under my foundation as a color corrector due the pink in it. I want this to come back to Ulta so that I can get the correct shade because I love how lightweight and long lasting this is. I also love that while being matte it doesn’t dry out my under eye area. I do want to mention that this does oxidize a bit so if you purchase it you might want to get a shade lighter than you normally would.
Final Thoughts on the ColourPop Concealer
Ultimately, if you’re looking for an affordable concealer that is matte then I highly suggest you try this one out. However, if you don’t feel like dealing with the oxidation and you already have a concealer you like then I would suggest skipping this one.

All, at least you are able to use it as a color corrector, so all is not lost!
Cassie
Agreed. I try to find some use for it because unfortunately no one in my family could use it because no one else is this Casper toned 😉
Ananka
Sounds alright and looks okay too. I don’t use concealers!
Are you still on Xena? Watching anything good?
Cassie
I wish I could get away with not using concealers. Would you believe that we’re on the 5th season of Xena and we had to take a break. My husband isn’t a huge fan of the guy who play Hercules so after that episode he wants to watch something else for a bit. We’re currently going through Person of Interest again, mainly for the bearded dragon who LOVES the show and is currently laying eggs.

Gee, maybe it’s my computer screen but Light 12 looks yellow rather than rosy. I was wondering if this might be a good shade for me, but based on the swatch, it’s a no. I am not really doing much shopping in stores still and there are no testers, so I guess I’ll hold off. But $7 for a concealer sounds good to me
Cassie
No, no that is not your computer screen, it is in fact not rosy. In real life or that photo this shade has zero pink in it, except when it oxidizes to a peachy shade which is why I am able to use it as a color corrector. Don’t get me wrong this concealer is amazing IF you can find a shade that works well for you and with ColourPop that is hard because their descriptions do not match their swatches or product. It’s kind of like you have to purchase a few to find the right shade and then either figure out how to use the extras or gift them to someone since you can’t return to ColourPop.

Hahahaha I used to do the same thing with reviews, I’d find randomly finding pics on my phone and think oh, I should do this finally lol. I will probably skip this because I do have a reliable concealer but glad to know deets on this one.
Cassie
I am trying to go through the backlog and avoid purchasing anything new while I do. It’s getting hard with some of these new releases though lol

Concealer is a hit and miss for me. I’ll check this one out. I’m sure the shade I will choose is off. Hard to shop online because the swatches are not consistent
Cassie
Agreed and sometimes the descriptions don’t match what their photo has.

I bought the wrong shade for me too so mine doesn’t get use. I think their charts aren’t reliable.
Cassie
And their shade descriptions as well. I bought this because it mentioned rosy in the description, even in real life this shade has zero pink in it.

Finding the right shade concealer is always hit or miss for me too!

Thanks for sharing! I wasn’t a fan of this one for me.
