I thought this week we could start with a review of the ColourPop Blush Crush Palette. If I’m not mistaken the Nude Mood and Blush Brush palettes were released at the same time and presented as kind of a duo. Since I reviewed the Nude Mood yesterday I thought making Blush Crush the first product review of the week would flow best. Let’s see what the Blush Crush Palette looks like.
About the Blush Crush Palette
The full-size Blush Crush Palette has 0.29 oz. or 8.65 grams of product, has cardboard packaging, has no mirror, and retails for $14.00. The Blush Crush Palette can be purchased at ColourPop and Ulta.
ColourPop claims that the Blush Crush Palette has one super shock shadow which is supposed to be long-wearing, have one swipe intensity, and zero fallout. The other shadows in the Blush Crush Palette are pressed powder shadows which are supposed to apply evenly, blend smoothly, and adhere easily. The ingredients for the Blush Crush Palette are:
ColourPop Blush Crush Palette Swatches
- lovesick is a pale pink with a matte finish
- pop a bottle is a light pink with a super shock finish
- the one is a peachy pink with a matte finish
Honestly there isn’t that big of a difference between lovesick and the one. While pop a bottle is gorgeous this row isn’t really starting us off on a good foot.
- enamored is a salmon with a metallic finish
- made u blush is a mid-tone blush with a matte finish and gold sparkle
- blossom up is a pink with gold flip in a metallic finish
At first glance this row looks like we’re going to have the same problem. However, there is a difference between blossom up and enamored. That pink on blossom up is absolutely gorgous on the eye.
- how rouge is a berry mauve with a matte finish and gold sparkle
- cheek2cheek is a mid-tone rose with a matte finish
- blush wine is a deep wine with a matte finish and gold sparkle
The blush wine is everything I need in life. It’s stunning, gorgeous, and works amazing on the eyes.
Final Thoughts on the Blush Crush Palette
Seriously, we needed THREE of the matte with shimmer shadows in this one palette. I mean they are better than the pressed glitter but most of the shadows like this are pointless. They look pretty in the pan and when swatched but if you’re using a glitter or shimmer shade and one of these in the crease or outer corner it just looks like the shimmer/glitter transferred into your crease. Honestly, this is not my favorite ColourPop palette and if you already have shades similar to this then I suggest just skipping this palette.

These are such gorgeous colors!
Blossom Up is a stunning shade. I’d love to be able to buy that separately.
Same. I’ve looked to see if it was a single, sometimes they’ll make shades from the palettes into single shadows or use single shadows in their palettes, and it is not.
I was confused as to whether these were eye shadows or blushes? Either way, I think I’ll stick to the Peach palette
Eye shadows but they really could be used as blushes with their shades and tones. ColourPop has stopped calling their palettes eye shadow palettes and now just calls them palettes or shadow palettes. Between the pressed glitters and some of the pressed pigments not being eye safe, I think they’re trying to save themselves from potential law suits.
I would totally rock this palette. I’ve always been a fan of their eyeshadow formulas and never had issues!
I like all of their formulas except the pressed glitters.
There are some nice colours in this one 🙂
There really are!
