I wanted to stop by for Mani Monday with a quick post that is going to serve as an introduction for a new series. I’ve decided that I’m going to do a Swatch my Collection. Let’s go over how this is going to work.
This is going to center around my nail polish collection. I’ve gone through my entire nail polish collection and have split it into three groups. The first group are polishes that have already been swatched on the blog. Those have been put into my collection and are going to be forgotten for the moment.
The next two groups are centered around the polishes that have not been swatched yet on the blog. The first group are polishes that can still be purchased either through the brands site or a retailer, even if that is Walmart or Amazon. The other group are going to be polishes that are not readily available but that you could potentially run into on Ebay, Poshmark, TJ Maxx. However, this last group is more than likely not available to purchase anymore.
Eventually, I would like to have a link list or a gallery on the blog with all of the swatches broken down by brand. I will be working on that on the side while going through all these swatches.
One last thing I want to cover is how swatches will work. I am listing all of the polishes are available to purchase and will randomly generate a number and that will be the polish covered the next week. This will continue until those are all up. I will then move onto the group of unpurchasable and do the same. New polishes that I receive during this time will go up in between the individual polishes on whatever list I am working on. They will not go to the back of whatever list. Here is an example:
I am working on the Still Purchasable Polish List. I purchase a new Night Owl Lacquer polish. It will go up one to two weeks after purchase. This will give me time to test it with different base/top coats and test for wear time. While I am testing it I will continue to post polishes from the Still Purchasable Polish List. When the Night Owl Lacquer polish is ready to posted for review it will be the next Mani Monday. The next week will go back to the Still Purchasable Polish List unless that list has been completed, if so we will move on to the No Long Purchasable Polish List.
Hopefully that makes sense. Leave any questions below and I’ll try to make it clearer.
