A few years ago a brand came on the market that packaged their products like bakery items. They had my attention but I wanted to see the products in person before purchasing. Sadly, none of the Ulta’s in South Carolina has Beauty Bakerie products in stock. Fast forward to after our move to California and I’m in a local Ulta and BAM there is the Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip in Mon Cheri sitting there, the last one in that shade in the display stand. I IMMEDIATELY picked it up, dropped it in my bag, checked out, and put it on in the car. I couldn’t wait to see if the hype about the Lip Whips was everything it was built up to be. About the Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip
The full-size Lip Whip has 0.12 oz. or 3.5 mL of product, has a slightly tilted applicator, has a frosted bottle that houses the twisted looking product, and retails for $20.00. The Lip Whip can be purchased at Ulta or Beauty Bakerie.
Beauty Bakerie claims that their Lip Whips have a long-lasting formula that is opaque in one coat. They also claim that their matte liquid lipstick is not only smudge proof but water proof as well! The ingredients for the Lip Whip are:

Let’s start with some of those claims shall we? As you can see from the swatch below (and the lip swatch below) the Lip Whip in Mon Cheri does in fact give full coverage in one coat. Yes, that is one swipe from left to right on the hand and one swipe from center to right and center to left on the bottom lip and top lip in the photo below! You’re wanting to know how long it lasts? Well let’s just say that I put it on at about 8am one morning and then it was sprung on me that I had to attend a camera required 1:30pm virtual meeting. I had already eaten lunch, a stromboli, and was thinking I had no time to retouch my lipstick. I started the video chat to get a preview of how bad it looked and I was SHOCKED that it looked like I had just applied it at 8am. Which brings me to the smudge and water proof claims… this particular Lip Whip is EVERYTHING proof. Makeup cleanser proof as well… Seriously, don’t go buy this UNTIL you come back on Thursday because you’re going to need THAT as well.
Before you come for me about how “bad” this lip swatch is. I want to note that the ONLY makeup that I am wearing in this photo is the Lip Whip in Mon Cheri. There is no lip liner around the lips or under the Lip Whip. No foundation or concealer around the lips or used for cleanup. No touch-ups were done to the photo after being taken on my phone EXCEPT brightness, levels, contrast, etc. No Face Tuning was done and no cleaning the edges with Photoshop was done. This is purely applying the Lip Whip with the applicator flat for application and then going in with the tip and using it more precisely as a liner.
I do want to also mention, the Lip Whip in Mon Cheri has no scent or fragrance to it.
Final Thoughts on the Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip
If you like a nice classic red then you need to pick up the Lip Whip in Mon Cheri, it is amazing. However, if you’re not a fan of classic reds then go pick up any other Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip, they are amazing. I’m planning on picking up more and covering them as well.

That is a pretty classic red!
I’m glad it came out the way that it did. Some reds look red in the tube but when you apply them they’re not that classic red.
SOunds like a good formula for when you cant reapply – i’d like to see what other colors this comes in!

OMG, you applied the Lip Whip with perfection! I can’t believe how perfect your lipliner is. Brava, girl! Sadly, I can’t wear matte liquid lippies (except City Beauty), but I sure can appreciate it on you. And I adore the red shade!
They also have glosses and metallics in the lip whips as well. I want to try some other products so if you’re want to know about something ahead of time let me know and I’ll add it to my queue.

I just re-read this post (I remembered it actually because that red matte lippie that you had to use a special product to remove was unforgettable

I’ve read great things about these lip whips but your review really makes it sound top notch. I don’t do red but the color is gorgeous.
