During the summer I received a PR package filled with Pixi Vitamin C Skin Care. However, I was in California for an internship and didn’t have a chance to give it a good use until we moved to California for my new job. Now I can give you my full thoughts on the Pixi Vitamin C Skin Care, so just scroll down.
Pixi Vitamin C Juice Cleanser
The Pixi Vitamin C Juice Cleanser is a 5.1 oz. or 150 mL bottle with a pump top that retails for $18.00. Pixi says that this cleanser uses probiotics to brighten the skin. I will say that this is not only my favorite of the Pixi Vitamin C Skin Care products but it’s one of my favorite Pixi products in general. I am going to be going through a lot of these because not only do I like to use this on my face but I LOVE to use it with a cotton round to wipe my hand / arm in between swatch photos when I’m doing batch photos
Pixi Vitamin C Tonic
The Pixi Vitamin C Tonic is a 3.4 oz. or 100 mL bottle similar to the other Pixi toners that retails for $15.00. Pixi says that this toner uses probiotics to fortify the skin, willow bark and fruit extract to exfoliate the skin, and that it boosts the skins luminosity. Having used the Vitamin C Tonic more during the late fall / early winter I can say that this is the time of the year that I would prefer as opposed to winter. My skin tends to be more dry and parched during the winter and I find that this really helps with that. I would probably use this during the winter and the original Glow Tonic during the summer.
Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm
The Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm is a 1.52 oz or 45 mL squeeze tube that retails for $24.00. Pixi claims that the Caviar Balm promotes healthy collagen production and can be used as either a balm or a leave-on mask. I really kind of find these to be the same thing. If I’m using it as a balm I use a light layer and then move onto the next step in my skin care routine. If I’m going to use it as a leave-on mask then I’m going to use a light layer and then move onto the next step in my skin care routine…*shrug*
Pixi Vitamin C Lotion
The Pixi Vitamin C Lotion is a 1.7 oz or 50 mL bigger squeeze tube that retails for $24.00. Pixi claims that the Vitamin C Lotion is a moisturizing toner. In all honesty I’m a big fan of Pixi’s skin care but I don’t usually like the moisturizers. That was until the Rose line came about, so this one really could have went either way. I did windup liking this lotion but not as much as I liked the one in the Rose collection. I will say that this is a brightening moisturizer. However, right now my skin needs the extra moisturizing moisturizer more than it needs the brightening one.
Pixi Vitamin C Serum
The Pixi Vitamin C Serum is a 1.01 or 30 mL glass bottle with a dropper that retails for $24.00. Pixi claims that this improves skin tone and that specifically the ferulic acid in it reduces the effect of sun damage. First off, I LOVE the packaging of Pixi’s oils and serums. They come capped with the little gold lid you see on the side and the dropper comes inside of the box that they’re packaged in. You take off the lid, remove the stopper, and then add the dropper and it makes sure your dropper doesn’t get damaged before you use it. Love it. As for the product itself, I don’t have a lot of visible sun damage on my skin, however, that doesn’t mean that I don’t have any sun damage. I found that using this ONCE A DAY made my skin feel a lot better and when I stopped using it my skin felt tight and super dry again.
Final Thoughts on the Pixi Vitamin C Skin Care
With an all around total of $105 before tax and shipping you probably can’t afford to purchase the full collection, and I don’t blame you one bit, I have a full-time job now and I can’t afford it either. Let’s break down what I think you should get. If you have been out in the sun I think you should for SURE pick up the Serum, which means everybody. I also think the Juice Cleanser is an amazing cleanser to have. From there it depends on what you’re wanting and what you have room for in your routine. If you’re using the Glow Tonic toner and are wanting to switch to something different but still somewhat similar then I would add the toner to the previous two suggestions. However, if you’re a bit older and you feel like you need that collagen production more then add the Caviar Balm to the previous two. Honestly, while I liked the Vitamin C Lotion it would be my least recommended of the five.

I’ve been curious about this line, so thanks for the review. I think the balm that stimulates collagen production is just what I need now.
It’s a good line to try out. I think you’d like the Caviar Balm.
This looks like a fantastic collection from Pixi!
It really is. It works really well.
This is the Pixi line that I use since I like the fragrance of it better than the original. I’ve been using it on and off since summer.
I noticed the fragrance wasn’t as heavy as some of the other lines and meant to mention it but forgot. I’m sorry.
