There may be some of you who do not know this, but at the beginning of November Travis was admitted to the hospital in A-fib, I actually have a video that goes into more detail which you can view here. Due to this I got a bit behind on posts, videos, and packages which I’m sure you noticed. This means that instead of just talking about one Pixi product, today we’ll be talking about a few, including the new Pixi PixiGlow Cakes. For more information on that, and a few other products, check out the video below or just keep scrolling.
If you check out the Pixi Eyeliners review you’ll get some general information about Pixi. The key notes of which are that Pixi is over 10 years old, is cruelty free, and that you can purchase their products at Target, their US Site, and their UK Site. For more information than that, check out the post I mentioned before by clicking here.
Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lipstick
The Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lipsticks are Pixi’s entry into the matte liquid lipstick market and in all honesty they’re one of my favorite on the market. The Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lipsticks are infused with rosehip oil which means that while they are matte they are hydrating to the lips. What I love best though is that even though they hydrate the lips they still set quickly when applying.
You can tell from the swatch image above that there are currently 11 shades in the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lipstick range. The shades range from neutral to deep berry with several shades in between so there is something for everyone. If you see one that you like you can pick up the MatteLast Liquid Lipsticks for $14.00 at either Pixi Beauty or Target.
The original tonic that Pixi released was the Glow Tonic, the orange liquid, which is an exfoliating toner. Glow Tonic contains 5% glycolic acid to bright and smooth and aloe to nourish the skin. Meanwhile, the new Rose Tonic is rose hydrosol based which means that it not only hydrates the skin butte neutralizes it as well. Both Tonic are good for all skin types and are available with a $15.00 price point for 100 mL at Target and Pixi. You can purchase the Glow Tonic at Target here and Pixi Beauty here. You can also purchase the Rose Tonic at Target here and Pixi Beauty here.
Pixi PixiGlow Cakes
The Pixi PixiGlow Cakes are Pixi’s entry into the ombré face palette market that brands like Kevyn Aucoin’s Neo-Bronzer and IT Cosmetics’s Confidence In Your Glow. Pixi calls their PixiGlow Cakes a 3-in-1 light diffusing palette that can be used either individually or swirled together and applied to the face as one. The PixiGlow Cakes do what Pixi Beauty does best and combines makeup with skin care by adding ceramides to restore the skin’s moisture barrier, grape seed extract to help with skin’s elasticity, and peptides to help plump and firm the skin. So you’re bettering the skin while adding color back to the face.
The Pixi PixiGlow Cakes come in two shades, PinkChampagne Glow and GildedBare glow, and honestly I was completely shocked by which one I wound up loving. When I saw these in the PR package I was SURE I was going to love the PinkChampagne Glow due to it’s pinkiness, however, I actually fell in LOVE with the GildedBare Glow…so much so that you’ll be seeing it several more times on my YouTube channel before the month is up! You can for sure tell the difference between the highlight, blush, and bronzer with the GildedBare Glow while the PinkChampagne Glow’s highlight and blush are not only hard to see but hard to distinguish between as well. You can pick up either (or both) of these shades at Target or Pixi Beauty for $28.00 each.
