Rodial Snake Oxygenating Bubble Mask
I’ve tried the Rodial Snake products in the past, read that here, and I was upfront about the fact that I wasn’t exactly thrilled about them. I didn’t like the fact that Rodial uses the “Snake venom” fad to charge a high price for their product that A. didn’t actually have snake venom in it and B. didn’t do a lot for me. I’m actually glad that I got to try another product from them that is a bit more reasonable in price, the Rodial Snake Oxygenating Bubble Mask again cashes in on the “snake venom” fad but combines it with the bubble mask fad as well. I was expecting all kinds of bad things when I received this mask and I’m happy to report that none of those things happened!
Before we get into that though let’s talk about the actual mask. The Rodial Snake Oxygenating Bubble Mask uses the same Syn®-Ake Dipeptide that the previous products that I tried uses. What is Syn®-Ake Dipeptide? It’s what Rodial uses to help freeze those fine lines that you may have. As with the masks from Tuesday’s post, read that here, this won’t do away with the fine lines and wrinkles but it will do away with them for a bit. Of course, the hyaluronic acid, which hydrates and plumps the skin helps with this. The mask also has a blend of Vitamins A & E, collagen, and ceramide to revitalize the skin and Oxygen bubbles to refresh the skin. Oh I almost forgot to mention the best part about this mask! The sheet mask is actually a charcoal sheet mask which helps to cleanse the skin and unclog pores while using it. Needless to say this mask is, so far, my favorite mask from not only Rodial but my favorite mask of the year!
Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Extreme Pads
When I saw these Nip + Fab Glycolic Pads my mind instantly thought “Oh great Pixi knockoff pads!”, more on that in a minute. However, when I started looking into them I got more and more interested in them. These pads have not only 5% glycolic acid but they are also formulated with salicylic acid as well! What does this mean for you? Well the glycolic acid is going to exfoliate the skin while helping to fade things like acne scarring. While that’s doing that the salicylic acid is going to unclog pores which will help with acne breakouts. These pads also have lactic acid in them which is going to which will help remove dead cells. Lastly, these pads have hyaluronic acid which is going to moisturize and plump the skin. Basically if you have clogged pores, cystic acne, or are experiencing breakouts you’re going to want to give these a try. HOWEVER, if you have sensitive skin you are going to only want to use these once a week and Nip + Fab actually only recommends 2 – 3 times a week for everyone else! Now Nip + Fab does have a non-extreme version of these pads that can be used daily and you can purchase those from Ulta via this link and it’ll have the same amount of pads (60) but for $12.99!
How do they hold up to the Pixi? Well first off they’re about $5 cheaper for the same amount of pads! They were also a bit thicker and a bit more saturated and if you remember when I talked about the Pixi Glow Tonic-to-Go Pads here I mentioned that my one complaint was that they were a bit to dry for my skin. While I love Pixi Glow Tonic I have to say that when it comes to comparing the Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go Pads to the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Extreme Pads, the Nip + Fab pads win hands down!
How To Be An Overnight Success
Before you leave I did want to mention the book that Founder and CEO of Rodial, Maria Hatzistefanis, wrote. The book is titled How to Be An Overnight Success and is essentially a how-to book on starting a business. The book starts with the obvious, Getting Started, and tells how Maria got her start. While that makes it sound like a biography, it isn’t. Peppered throughout the book are secrets that are designed to give you advice on how to better yourself in the business world. For example, the first “Overnight Success Secret” is ‘Decide What You Want’ and there’s a blurb at the top, followed by some questions, and then a prompt to answer these questions and why it matters that you’re honest. The book continues like this but honestly I have to say that my favorite part is that there is an index. I love that addition because I can easily go back and find a topic that I want to read about again without having to flip all around looking for it.
Final Thoughts
I just talked about three totally different products so let me simmer it down for you…go get all three! Seriously, you can get one of the masks for $9 which is a bit pricey but this mask was luxurious and left my face feeling amazing! The pads are only $14.95 at Target, making them cheaper than the Pixi pads and they have been doing an amazing job of clearing up the gnarly breakout that I have going on under my chin. As for the book, if you are someone who is interested in business, have started your own business, or are looking to start your own business you need to give this book a read. I’ve highlighted and taken down so many notes since receiving it that it’s more than worth the $15.97 hardcover price in my opinion BUT you can actually get it for $1.99 on the Kindle!

I like oxygenated masks so the Rodial mask appeals to me. In fact, I have 3 different bottles/cans of them. I don’t need salicylic acid though I’m a fan of glycolic acid, so I will remember this mask to recommend to others with oilier skin or acne.
The Rodial mask sounds lovely. I recently used up a sample of snake oil from them, and am intrigued by the brand. I used up a tub of the Nip+Fab Extreme Glycolic Pads last year. They were quite gentle; a nice starting point if you are new to acids.
I love bubble masks! I have the Nip & Fab pads on order. Have you ever read Poppy King’s book? She is the founder of The Lipstick Queen, it’s a good read.
I’ve wanted to try a Rodial skincare product and this might be the only one I can afford! I have a bubble oxygenating mask from Miss Spa that I love using.
I just received the Nip & Fab and I’m glad I read your review before I started using them. I think I’ll start slow with once a week for a few weeks. My skin is congested and I’m noticing some teeny white heads that I think these will help with.
I get what you mean. I have tried that snake serum years ago when It first came out and wasn’t blown away. They are good with marketing though.
Those Nip + Fab pads sound great! I’ve been wanting to add more Glycolic Acid into my skincare routine.
I really like Rodial skincare a lot! I have a couple of their masks, but not this one! I think that those Nip + Fab Glycolic Pads are coming my way, and I can’t wait to try them!
That bubble mask looks like fun! But I’m a die-hard fan of the Pixi Glow Tonic!
