When I started receiving PR from the Pixi Beauty team I hoped that the Pixi Glow Tonic would be in one of the first packages due to how much people love it. Unfortunately it wasn’t, but I was able to find it on online at Target so I purchased it. After starting to use it I actually did receive a package that had the wipes in it and then last week I received a package about the Pixi Glow Tonic Challenge and while at the time I wasn’t in a place to mess with it (I received the package the day before Norbie passed away) I am ready to tell you all about Pixi Glow Tonic, so keep scrolling!
Pixi Glow Tonic Liquid
Claims: Exfoliating Toner | Hydrates and Soothes | Circulates and Energizes | Brightens | Alcohol Free
Size: 100 mL | 250 mL
Price: $15.00 | $29.00
Purchase: 100 mL – Target | Pixi Beauty | Birchbox | Dermstore
250 mL – Dermstore | Pixi Beauty | Birchbox
As I mentioned above, when I started receiving Pixi PR products I was hoping that one of them would be the Pixi Glow Tonic in liquid form, mainly because at the time that was the only form that they had! When it didn’t come in the first two packages I decided to order it myself from the Target website. I started using it immediately after receiving it and feel in love. I put a little of the liquid on a cotton pad and swipe over my entire face. The 5% glycolic acid exfoliates the skin, the ginseng energizes and improves circulation to the skin, the aloe vera soothes and hydrates, while the fructose and sucrose in the Pixi Glow Tonic brighten the skin. Overall you’re left with a bright and radiant face that is toned…which let me explain toning real fast. Toning is what you need to do to your skin after you cleanse it. When you cleanse the skin you are essentially stripping it and brining it away from it’s natural pH, using a toner in your skin care routine helps to bring the pH back to normal levels. It also picks up any dirt or bacteria left behind in cleansing and helps to shrink pores!
Water/Aqua/Eau, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycolic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Hexylene Glycol, Fructose, Glucose, Sucrose, Urea, Dextrin, Alanine, Glutamic Acid, Aspartic Acid, Hexyl Nicotinate, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Biotin, Panthenol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Caramel, Red 4 (CI 14700)
Pixi Glow Tonic Pads
Claims: Exfoliating Toner Pads | Travel Friendly | Paraben Free | Heals and Soothes | Alcohol Free
Size: 60 pads
Price: $18.00
Purchase: Target | Pixi Beauty | Birchbox | Dermstore
I received a container of the Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go Pads in a PR package awhile back. This is a container of 60 pads that are pre-soaked with the Pixi Glow Tonic formula. This makes them convenient for traveling as you don’t have to worry about sizes of liquids, how liquids are being transported, etc. Due to the liquid being on pads the formula / ingredients are slightly different as you can see from the list above and below, however, the pads work just about the same as the liquid bottles do. If you are someone that prefers items that are preprepared for you (i.e. makeup remover wipes instead of makeup remover etc.) then you’ll prefer these over the liquid.
Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycolic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Hexylene Glycol, Fructose, Glucose, Sucrose, Urea, Dextrin, Alanine, Glutamic Acid, Aspartic Acid, Hexyl Nicotinate, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Biotin, Panthenol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Caramel, Red 4 (CI 14700). Pixi Glow Tonic Challenge
As I mentioned above I received this package the day before Norbert, our bearded dragon, passed away. Due to that I haven’t had time to post about the Pixi Glow Tonic Challenge. The challenge was to use either the liquid or one of the pads and swipe it across the face and neck, once that was done to look at the pad and notice what’s pulled off that can cause skin issues like dullness, and then take a selfie. The package contained a container of Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go Pads, a bottle of the Pixi Glow Tonic liquid (100 mL), a button that says I participated, and t-shirt. I will be putting the container of pads and the bottle of liquid into a big giveaway that I’m planning as I already have them, the button will be going with my button collection, and I think I might send the shirt to like my niece as they sent a small and I don’t even think I could even get that over my head as I’m 3x!
Final Thoughts on the Pixi Glow Tonic
If you’re looking for a toner that is alcohol free and that is affordable then you’ll want to try the Pixi Glow Tonic because it really is amazing! Even if I was taken off the Pixi PR list tomorrow I would still continue to purchase the Pixi Glow Tonic. If you wanted me to pick which one I would recommend I, personally, would go with the liquid over the pads because I like to control how saturated my cotton pads are. However, if you are someone who travels a lot or doesn’t need to control the level of saturation then the pads would be great for you. Either way you can’t go wrong!

I love pixi products, but I haven’t seen this stuff before. I’m gonna have to look for it. I’m sorry to hear about your dragon passing. We have furbabies that have passed in the past, and it’s like losing a family member.
Cassie says
You should look for it! It really is like loosing a member of the family!

Thanks for the thorough review! I’ve always liked Pixi and so does my daughter. These are products that I would love to try!
Cassie says
Pixi has great products, the fact that you and your daughter both use it is one of the things that I love about it. It’s not meant for one specific type of skin (young, old, acne, etc.) their products are things that generally almost everyone can use!
Jessica Joachim says
I need to try this stuff! When the weather gets colder, my skin gets dull so this seems like it would be a wonderful little product to have in my collection! Plus Pixi always has awesome products.
Cassie says
Pixi does have some amazing products. Yes, because of the glycolic acid in this toner this is a gentle exfoliant which will help with the dull skin.
Ana De-Jesus says
It is wonderful to hear that the toner is alcohol free which means it should be good on sensitive skin. Is that right? x
Cassie says
Other things can irritate sensitive skin but alcohol dries out the skin which can cause sensitive skin to get more irritated. This does have glycolic acid so it might be slightly abrasive so I would try the liquid form so you can control how much you apply to the skin. I would also start out a few days a week instead of once or twice a day and build up to that level.
Teresa says
I have yet to use the Pixi brand although i keep seeing it all the time. I have super sensitive skin and always worry about trying new products. Sorry to hear about your bearded dragon
Cassie says
Thanks. I tend to be sensitive around the eyes and this doesn’t burn my eyes at all. If you decide to try it out you might want to try the liquid so you can control how much liquid and start out small.

Pixi is one of my favorite brands. I really love their glow tonic, as well as some of their makeup items. I haven’t tried the glow tonic pads because I also like to control how much tonic i use, but I think the would work great for travel.

I love the fact that this tonic exfoliates. It is so important to rejuvenate your skin on a daily basis by removing all of the dead skin on the surface.
