I use to be a BIG fan of the show Step by Step when I was younger. The mother in the show was played by Suzanne Somers and she was actually one of my favorite TV moms of the 90’s. When I found out that she had launched Suzanne Somers Organics I was intrigued. When I saw the different amount of products that she offered I HAD to check it out! I was actually going to post about this a few weeks ago but 3 trips to the ER, a hospital stay for the Hubs, finding out Norbert the bearded dragon had kidney disease, and then Norbert loosing her battle with kidney disease pushed this post back a few weeks. I still wanted to share the super easy look that I created and these amazing products with you! Now I’m not going to review these per say, I’m really just going to walk you through how I got the finished look and tell you a bit about the products. Keep scrolling to see what I used and how the look turned out!

Suzanne Somers Organics Moisturizer

The first thing that I did before starting my look was prep my skin. In the mornings I don’t usually wash my face as I want my skin to keep whatever oils it has made. Instead I’ll use a cotton pad with some Micellar Water. I also used my toner, serum, and facial oils before going in with the Suzanne Somers Organics Bioactive Anti-Aging Moisturizer. What I love most about the Bioactive Moisturizer is that it has an inner seal that helps protect the moisturizer and keep it in the jar and off of the lid. I also liked that the Argan Oil and Sea Buckthorn Berry left my skin feeling hydrated, soft, and moisturized all day.

Suzanne Somers Organics Foundation

After allowing the moisturizer to set for about 15 minutes I went in with a primer and allowed that to sit before going in with the Suzanne Somers Organics Sheer Flawless Foundation. Now I do have mixed feeling about this foundation. I love the fact that it has aloe leaf juice, tea tree and jojoba oil, and is made up of a super juice blend. I also love that it gives the skin a glow and has a nice velvet finish. However, I don’t like the fact that if you’re a bit dry (or use a primer that dries you out a bit) it can look a little dry, that it oxidizes a little upon application, but most importantly that it only has four shades available. As the good severely outweighs the bad in this foundation I want it to be available to more people!

Suzanne Somers Organics Contour Palette

I think that the Suzanne Somers Organics Contour Kit might be my favorite item that I use in this look! I actually used this on my face and my eyes, that’s how amazing this palette is! I used the highlight shade on my lids to set my eye primer, a little in the inner corner of the eye and I then patted it down so it wasn’t as stark, and VERY lightly on the cheekbones for a more natural highlight. I actually went in with the bronzer shade (the middle one) for a very natural contour in the cheeks, it actually wound up looking so natural that you couldn’t even tell I used a powder, and lightly in the crease. I like to use the contour shade (the far right) for more glam looks or for when I’m filming so that it pops more on camera!

Suzanne Somers Organics Eye Pot

After finishing with the contour palette I went in with the Suzanne Somers Organics Creamy Eyeshadow in Rose Quartz. I found that the best way to apply this eye shadow is with the finger as it can be a bit stiff and the warmth of the finger melts it a little bit. I applied this over the lid and was almost ready to call my eyes done!

Suzanne Somers Organics Mascara

The Suzanne Somers Organics Lengthening Mascara might be my second favorite item that I used in this look! It conditions with aloe and cocoa butter, has a fiber wand instead of plastic that is tapered, and doesn’t have a mascara scent! This gave my lashes length, volume, and took awhile to break down. I only used this on my top lashes in the photo so it may be a little hard to see but it seriously has become my second favorite mascara!

Suzanne Somers Organics Multistick

The last makeup item that I used in this look was the Suzanne Somers Organics Multistick in Sunrise. I used this by itself on my cheeks and partnered it with a lip pencil for the lips! It does have a sheerer pigmentation so it does take some WORK to get it as pigmented as you see here and as it’s a cream product it is a bit tacky upon first application to allow blendability. Essentially what I did was apply the Multistick where I wanted it on my cheeks and then blend with a brush, allowed it to dry, went back in and applied a little more, allowed it to dry, and then did one final layer before applying a bit of setting powder to the face to set it, my concealer, and foundation for the day. As for the lips, I applied a deeper shaded lip liner to the outer edges of my lip and then applied the Multistick with a brush to the inner portion of the lip. I did this to make the lip look a little fuller and I applied it with a brush for sanitary reasons and to also make sure it didn’t mess with the liner and vice versa.

Suzanne Somers Organics Beauty Final Look || Southeast by Midwest #ad #beauty #bbloggers #beautyguru #PRIMPLovesSuzanne #SuzanneSomers #SuzanneOrganics

This is the finished look! As you can see it is super natural and while you can tell that I’m wearing makeup it’s not something that I couldn’t wear to school or work which I love! I also partnered it with a hair down and not pushed back look that is rare for my channel and site…now lets take it off!

Suzanne Somers Organics Cleanser

To take it off I used the Suzanne Somers Organics Everyday Facial Cleanser. You apply this cleanser to dry skin and then apply moisture and massage into skin before rinsing. It has a lotion texture out of the bottle and gets even more so once moisture is introduced. It’s gentle on the skin and has a slight peach scent that is NOT an added fragrance. It actually left my skin feeling so soft and glowing that I might break my stance of not cleansing my face in the mornings and use this!

Final Thoughts on Suzanne Somers Organics

Suzanne Somers Organics Beauty Final Thoughts || Southeast by Midwest #ad #beauty #bbloggers #beautyguru #PRIMPLovesSuzanne #SuzanneSomers #SuzanneOrganics

Overall I really enjoyed the Suzanne Somers Organics products that I tried and I’d purchase more to try as well! I would say my top three favorite items were the contour palette due to its multitasking ability, how pigmented it is, and the natural look it gives; the mascara due to how it left my lashes my feeling, the fact that it didn’t smell like mascara, and that it lasted for a good amount of time on my lashes; and the cleanser due to the scent, how it left my skin feeling, and the amount you get for the money! I would say my least favorite product was probably the eye shadow due to the fact that it’s a little hard to work with but it’s actually still a great product with that con. If you are looking to get more into more natural and organic products then you need to give some of the Suzanne Somers Organics products a try!

  1. Now that name is a blast from the past! Every time I think of Suzanne Somers, I think of Three’s Company. While that has followed her through her whole life, she really is a really savvy business woman. Thanks for showcasing some of her products! I’m always looking for something new!

    • Thanks. Hopefully they will. Honestly we took the end of last week through today off from the world to just decompress and be together after the loss of our Norbie. Tomorrow will actually be my first day back in the real world.

  22. That’s a great line up of products. Also that’s a great tip on not washing your face first thing in the morning. That actually makes sense because a lot of skin restoration happens at night. I’ll keep that in mind thanks.

  27. I haven’t tried this brand, but it sounds promising! I’d love to try out the Suzanne Somers Organics Sheer Flawless Foundation. Have you tried mixing it with a tiny bit of moisturizer? Sometimes this helps me with certain foundations, especially since my skin is prone to dryness from time to time.
