Awhile ago I saw YouTuber Desi Perkins mention on her SnapChat about the Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream and I saw on the packaging that it was good for people with eczema. I did a bit more research and realized that I would have to skip this amazing sounding moisturizer as it retailed for $135! However, when the Hubs and I happened to stop at TJ Maxx and I saw a Tatch set on clearance that included not only the Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream but also 3 other products from the Indigo line I HAD to grab it not only for myself but to review it for you guys so you would know if the $135 price tag was worth it. Check out the video below or keep scrolling for my Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream Review!
About Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream
The Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream is an anti-aging moisturizer that is formulated with 3% colloidal oatmeal (that is a high percentage for products like this!), Sophora Japonica extract, and of course Indigo extract (hence the name). It is also formulated without irritants like mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, synthetic color, phthalates, parabens, and sulfate detergents! However, one thing to note is that the Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream DOES contain Cocos Nucifera, Coconut, Oil and Avena Sativa, Oat, Kernel Extract. This is important because they CAN be to food allergies, however, a lot of other eczema products contain oat as it is the current only FDA-approved OTC ingredient for eczema and rash itching and irritation.
Moving back to the actual properties of the Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream. The active ingredient in the Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream in the 3% colloidal oatmeal. If you have any skin irritation, eczema, etc. the colloidal oatmeal will help to soothe the skin and potentially calm any itching. If you don’t have any of these the colloidal oatmeal is non-harmful, unless you have a gluten-allergy and then there is the potential. The Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream gets its anti-aging from Tatcha’s signature HADASEI-3 which helps to boost elasticity.

Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream Review
The first thing I want to note about the Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream is that even though the product is blue it will NOT stain the skin. Tatcha does have an Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Treatment that due to the increased Indigo WILL stain the skin but the cream will not. From there, I want to talk about the gluten factor. I have made it widely known across my platforms that I suffer from Celiac disease, however, the oatmeal in this does NOT irritate my skin or cause any flareups. I do make sure to keep it away from my mouth and eyes and I always wash my hands after using. However, that does not mean that if you have Celiac disease that you will have the same non-reaction as everyone is different. I HIGHLY suggest that you get a sample to try before purchasing this or make sure that wherever you’re purchasing it from will allow you to return it in case of a reaction. For me it was worth the risk as the set that I have was only $12 and it was worth it to try to get my facial eczema under control. When I use the Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream my skin almost instantly feels more moisturized and when I use it for an extended period of time I have no facial flareups. I actually went off of it to review another moisturizer and within a week-and-a-half my facial skin patches were back…not a ringing endorsement for the current moisturizer I’m reviewing, haha!
Final Thoughts on Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream
Ultimately if you feel that your skin is easily irritated; you suffer from rosacea, eczema, etc.; or just have a problem with very dehydrated skin then you may want to give this a try. As I mentioned in the video, I know how much $135 is so I am NOT recommending this lightly and I do strongly suggest looking at a TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc. for a discounted set first. Also they do offer a starter kit for sensitive skin that has a small version of this and a few other products (not the same kit I have) for $60 if you want to try it and some other products way cheaper first. Ultimately though I feel if you have the funds to spend on this and it sounds like something you need then you should.

While $135 is a lot to spend on a cream- some would argue that you can’t put a price on happinesss! Your skin is your largest organ, and taking care of it (especially your face- and especially is you have a skin condition) is so important!! I think it’s worth the time and money to take care of yourself!

It is on the expensive side but if it works, then it is worth it. Thanks for the tips to check TJ Maxx. Sounds like a cream I could use.

You are right, it is a little pricy, but sometimes, things are just worth paying that little extra. Love that you can get a smaller, trial size first to see if it is a good fit. For some reason, I love that the cream looks blue when you first put it on!
Karina @ Lovemade Handmade says
This cream sounds like something I’d purchase. I usually have dry skin and colloidal oatmeal definitely helps with that, but the price is definitely high! I’ll still check it out though and test it first to see if it’s worth it.

I have never heard of this cream and the price tag would have me crying! What an awesome deal you found though and that is definitely something I would pick up! I so want to go to Sephora for a sample now!

I suffered with eczema for years. What finally helped was eliminating dairy from my diet. Seriously, within weeks the recurring eczema in my scalp disappeared.
Cassie says
We’re actually working on doing that! The butter and cheese is what’s killing me though.

This looks and sounds pretty awesome. The price seems like a lot, so I’d really have to try it before I bought it type thing. But if it was worth it I’d for sure do it. I love the colour it is!
