When I got up this morning I checked my email, of course, and what did I see in there? A newsletter from Ulta Beauty of course. Since the title talked about the Early Access to the new Lorac Palette, and usually with a title like that the rest of the email will feature more Lorac products, I was going to skip it because I’m on a “think before you buy” restriction at the moment but I decided to open it just to be sure…and boy am I glad that I did!
I’m going to start with the Lorac Mega Pro Palette 3 because it’s the most time sensitive! What do I mean by that? Well for today (9/25/16) only and online Platinum members have early access to the new palette. You do have to be signed into your Platinum level account in order to purchase this, or course. It is $59.00 and excluded from coupons, however, you can redeem your points on it!
Next in the email was the Tarte Tarteist Paint Palette Collector’s Set. I WISH I wasn’t on a “think before you buy” because this palette is GENIUS. I love the little artist palette holding the face products and the fact that the brush is called a “paint brush”. To go along with that the set comes with a deluxe sample of the Tarteist Lip Paint in Double Tap and Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara in black. Supposedly the 24 shadows that are included in the palette are new and exclusive to this set and mentioning exclusive…this set is new and available only at Ulta! This set is $49.00 and is again excluded from coupons but you should be able to redeem points against it.
Next in the email was the thing I had been waiting for! The Too Faced Merry Macaron Christmas in New York Set! This set comes with a deluxe Better than Sex Mascara and 12 eye shadows that are scented like macaroons! I’m not going to go into a lot of detail on this palette because you’ll see it soon on the blog…I will mention that the set is $39.00 and is excluded from coupons but you can redeem your points against it!
Next in the email was the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette and the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Trio. The Ultimate Basics palette is $54.00, excluded from coupons, includes 12 all new neutral eye shadows, and a double ended brush. The Illuminated Trio is $36.00, excluded from coupons, includes 3 new shimmering face/body powders, and a double ended brush.
Next in the email are 3 new brushes from a subline, Love Beauty Fully, of the It Brushes for Ulta line. The first brush is the Love is the Foundation brush which is a foundation brush shaped like a heart and it’s $30.00 and excluded from coupons. The second brush is the Essential Concealer Brush #212 it’s $22.00 and excluded from coupons. The last brush is the Complexion Powder Brush #225 it’s $36.00 and excluded from coupons.
Next in the email is a product that isn’t actually a new release, however, it was in the email because the creator will be doing something this week. The product is the Fiona Stiles Light Illusion Palette which features 3 shimmering products (a blush, highlight, and bronzer) for $28.00 and it is excluded from coupons. This palette is exclusive to Ulta, however, Fiona Stiles will be on QVC Friday, September 30th at 9PM EST giving techniques with products only available at QVC and Ulta!
The last item in the newsletter was the thing that I have been waiting on since last year! I love when Ulta launches their A Reason to Give campaign, which is every October! A Reason to Give is Ulta’s way of raising money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year there are four ways that you can help this year:
- Enter to Win a Beauty Bag valued at $599.00 (You can enter at local store or once a day online)
- Donate $1 or More (100% of what you give goes to the BCRF!)
- Purchase a $5 Accessory from the Ulta BCRF Collection (50% of the $5 goes to the BCRF). This year the items are: The Positivity of Pink Compact, Set of 3 Love & Hope Bangle Bracelet, Kiss of Courage Pom Pom Bag Charm, Key for Strength Pendant Necklace, Kisses & a Cure Wristlet, Fearless Heart Jewelry Case, or a Passion for Pink Cosmetic Bag. You can purchase as many you want!
- For ONE DAY ONLY on October 9th from 11am – 6pm for $10 you can choose either a Shampoo & Haircut, Pink Extensions, or MicroZone Express Facial. If you participate in this 100% of the 10 goes to BCRF!!
Hopefully this is helpful to all of you beauty purchasers out there! I’m not even going to lie, I’ve already went and purchased one of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation Accessories, I got the Pom Pom Bag Charm, and I think I might get a few more before October is over!
Tell me in the comments below: Would you purchase an accessory for $5 if half went to support BCRF?

Honestly, I couldn’t understand a thing here because I am a guy, but i think, based on your review, this could be a good gift to a girlfriend or to a mother. I am sure girls will definitely love this.
I love Ulta products. I am a girly girl so makeup, creams and fragrances are my everyday go to to feel fresh. I love the colors. I am into nude colors right now as well. I guess you could also call me up to date on all trends. With having a little one and time is tight these colors are perfect and are natural looking which is perfect.
These products look fantastic! I used to buy palettes ALL the time then decided to switch up and have been buying only individual colours (mainly MAC). However, I’ve been revisiting the idea of investing in some palettes!
I’m not into makeup that much, but I like the idea of buying an accessory to support a charity. It seems like October is a great month to shop there so you can support BCRF!
This was great to read! I’m always looking for new makeup products to purchase and never know where to start! Thanks for sharing!
