I mentioned in a recent post that with the heat of South Carolina that I find it difficult to wear makeup daily. That being said, there are a few items that I usually don’t skip and that’s my eyebrows, mascara on the lashes, and lipstick. Last semester I had my brows shaped for the first time and while I did like the way they looked I kind of hate the upkeep that is involved with it, I just don’t have time for all that. While I’m waiting for my brows to grow back to a more uniform shape I’m constantly filling them in when I go places. Sometimes I will just use a tinted brow gel and others I’ll actually fill them in with a pencil and the one I’ve been loving lately is the Billion Dollar Brows Universal Brow Pencil in Taupe that can be gotten from Kohl’s.
Can I just say that I’m kind of shocked at the beauty selection that Kohl’s has? Quite unexpected. Just as unexpected as the claims of the Universal Brow Pencil. Now I did review the Billion Dollar Brows Best Sellers Kit, which you read here, which included the Universal Brow Pencil but I didn’t go into a lot of details about the pencil specifically.
What I like most about the Universal Brow Pencil is the actual product. The pencil has a creamy texture that helps keep it from tugging on the skin or brow hairs, which I don’t know about you but I find very annoying. Also the design around the product makes it where the pencil doesn’t need to be sharpened. When I reviewed the kit I didn’t have the opportunity to use the whole product as that would have required WEEKS if not MONTHS for a brown pencil. However, since then I’ve used the entire first pencil up and this is my second one and I can verify that it does self sharpen. Another great thing about the Universal Brow Pencil is that the Taupe shades blends well with most brow colors and skin tones. While you might think that wouldn’t matter for my brows it does. My brows are a shade of brown at the front and a lighter brown shade at the back. I can of course fill them in with one shade but if I want them to look more like my natural brows I’d have to fill in with two different colors. The Universal Brow Pencil allows me to fill them in with the tail keeping the lighter shade.
Another item that helps the Universal Brow Pencil make my brows look more natural is the spoolie on the other end. I find that I tend to dislike most spoolies because they are super rough, scratchy, and don’t blend well. The spoolie on the end of the Universal Brow Pencil is the exact opposite. It’s not to rough on the skin and it helps to blend the product beautifully. After using the Universal Brow Pencil I set with a brow gel, typically the Billion Dollar Brow Eyebrow Gel when I’m using the pencil.
Overall I highly recommend the Billion Dollar Brow Universal Brow Pencil and if you have some extra Kohl’s Cash you should pick one up! Don’t forget that if you’re going to be shopping online to activate Ebates for 3% (currently 6%!) cash back!

I have yet to master the brow. I have blonde eye brows so I don’t really mess with them. I feel like if I try to do them I am going to look like a nut job with some crazy brows. Haha. However, I love this pencil. I love that it has a tool on the end. That is smart!!
Fantastic review!
Oh I agree about not skipping the brows! I can skip most makeup items on hot days or lazy days lol but my brows need the help! While I have naturally bushy brows I have to trim I have some blank areas – one from a scar my horse gave me as a kid and some from just aging and losing brow hair sadly. I need this in my life – the creamy texture sounds wonderful!
I just started using a brow pencil so it is all new to me. It looks like I need to take a trip to Kohl’s! The Billion dollar brow pencil is exactly what I need to make my eyebrows look fresh and polished.
Looks like a great product to try. I honestly have never spent much time on my brows but using something like this would help me. I guess I am intimidated by some of the make up products I am not familiar with. I think i have some Kohl’s cash left over too! 😉
I like brow products that only enhance the eyebrows and make a natural look. This one with a spoolie on the end helps a lot so the brows would not look very bold and dramatic. $18 for me is quite expensive though.
I have heard great thing about this brow pencil and I love that you don’t have to worry about what shade to purchase. I will be picking one up the next time I am at Kohls. I have yet to find a brow pencil I like so I am hoping this one will do the trick.
I’m never sure which color brow pencil to pick so this is right up my alley. I’m not sure if Billion Dollar Brows products have come to Denmark, but I’ll be on the lookout to give this a try next time I need a new brow pencil.
I almost always wear makeup on my eyes (mascara and some eyeshadow) and my lips (mostly just lip balm). I’ve never shaped my eyebrows, aside from the normal because I was afraid of what you mentioned — too much upkeep! Guess I need to check out Kohl’s makeup section, as I’ve never really paid attention to what they have.
I just recently read another post about this product…and I am so excited to try it! We don’t have a Kohls where I live so I’m wondering where else they sell it?!?!
I feel the same way eyebrow and curly eye lashes is a must on my daily make up routine. I’m no expect on eye brow but I love to learn from others by watching video on you tube or some blog post like this. I appreciate you share this to us.
I discovered the awesomeness of a Brow Pencil when I received one in a subscription box. I have used it all up and have been on the hunt for a new one…thanks for sharing because I think I just found a replacement!
