It’s been awhile since I’ve done a monthly favorites post and video. I’m super excited to be sharing my November Favorites with you!
I will mention that a few of the items in this month’s favorites are from the Conair sponsored post I did a few weeks ago, you can read that here. I mention that because while I was provided the hair tools and compensated for that post my opinions in that post and this one are my own. I also want to mention that I was in no way compensated for this post in anyway.
My first favorite for the month of November is my Curl Secret. I got this a few weeks ago in exchange for a review, you can read that here, and in all honesty I was’t expecting much. I’ve seen TONS of YouTube videos of people not knowing how to work it, curls not setting correctly, and hair getting sucked in and tangled. When I first tried the Curl Secret I have to admit that I did have a bit of the tangling, however, once I noticed the little latch inside of the head of the system and I loaded on the inside of that latch it was perfect. Not to mention that the Curl Secret gives me curls that actually hold!
I have this problem with blow dryers…the motors short out on me. No lie, when I use blow dryers for some reason they spark out the back and then no longer work. When I got the Conair 3Q Hair Dryer I was so afraid that this $120 blow dryer was going to fritz out just like all the others. This is a November favorite because I have used it so many times since I got it and I have yet to have a problem with it. On top of that it dries my hair so fast AND leaves it feeling so soft.
My hair gets tangled easily, I’m talking I can brush it when I get out of the shower and then go sit down for 30 minutes doing absolutely nothing to my hair and when I go back to brush it. On top of that I’m tender headed. I have been using the It’s a Miracle 10 Lite Leave-In Conditioner which works as a detangler, however, it’s a 4 oz. bottle for $18! I found this Herbal Essences Curl Silkening Detangler when I was picking up the Curl Secret and the Conair 3Q Hair Dryer and I thought “Hey for $4 I’ll give it a try.” Boy was that a great life decision. The Herbal Essences Curl Silkening Detangler not only gets the tangles out but it leaves my hair smelling AWESOME and feeling super soft!
If you’ve been around for awhile then you might know that I have eczema, it’s not a pretty thing to talk about but I have it. My skin gets incredibly dry throughout the year and even more so during the winter. I have found that my best way of combatting this is to make sure that my skin is super hydrated with a good moisturizing lotion. My favorite lotion for November was the L’Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream. To be fair I have loved all of the L’Occitane lotions that I have tried and the L’Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream is no exception to the rule. I love it so much that I would love to use it on a twice-a-day-everyday basis, however, the $44 price tag is what keeps this as a monthly favorite and not a daily favorite.
My last favorite for November was something that I got at the end of the month but it easily became my favorite item of the month. For Christmas (yes I realize that means I got it early) my husband got me a Build-a-Bear, this is something that he has done for several special occasions/holidays for years. This time he got me a Penguin Build-A-Bear wearing a hoodie and sparkly pants, she’s so ADORABLE!
