Coral Reef is a pink shade that is in Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear line. Sally Hansen Coral Reef is available year round as it is a permanent color in the Xtreme War Line. I have been wanting this shade for the longest time but it always seems to be sold out everywhere I go. When I finally found it on the shelf I hurried and picked it up. Did this live up to my expectations? Keep reading to find out.

In the bottle Sally Hansen Coral Reef is a bright pink shade that is very similar in color to OPI’s Hey Baby. I find that brighter pink shades like this work really well with my skin tone making my fingers look longer and more slender. As such, I tend to favor shades like this over lighter pink shades. I was glad that the color on the nail matched really well with the color that was in the bottle and that it wasn’t super sheer.

One Coat

As you can see Sally Hansen Coral Reef went on very well with just one coat. There were a few spots that there was a bit of sheerness but in my opinion it actually would have been livable with just the one coat if need be.

Two Coats

Two coats of Sally Hansen Coral Reef leaves the polish looking pretty flawless. It’s the perfect consistency as being any sheerer would have meant a third coat, which is something I try not to do. A second coat also brightens up the polish a bit more than just the one coat does, which I think brings out it’s true color more.

Sally Hansen Coral Reef with Top Coat on #nails #nailart #notd #beauty #beautyblogger #bblogger #sallyhansen

As always I topped my nail polish off with my favorite top coat, Seche Vite. Even before the top coat the Sally Hansen Coral Reef looked and felt pretty glossy, the top coat just helped prolong that look and feel. I liked the fact that the Sally Hansen Coral Reef held it’s glossiness for awhile before I added the top coat.

Overall the Sally Hansen Coral Reef polish really did live up to my expectations. I’m super glad that I picked it up and will be using it several more times before the summer is over. If this looks like a color you could see yourself wearing make sure to stop by your local drugstore to pick it up or purchase here.

I’ve heard good things about Sally Hansen. The color certainly looks very vibrant. I don’t really do pink, but I’ll be they have a variety of choices.

I love all of the Sally Hansen products only because they last a pretty decent length of time before chipping for the price you pay. This color is super cute, they have one similar in the insta-dry line.

What a cute summer shade. I have been getting my nails done professionally these days, but ever so often I like to do them myself. I love pinks and I also prefer these darker colours to the lighter ones.
