OPI Hey Baby Swatch and Review

OPI Hey Baby Swatch and Review on southeastbymidwest.com

Purchase: Ulta

Cost: $9.00

OPI Hey Baby is part of the new collaboration between OPI and Gwen Stefani. The line consists of seven different shades of 5 different formulas. Hey Baby is one of two Creme Gloss formulations. These can be found through Ulta, Sally Beauty, Amazon, and other similar retailers.

Ease of Application

Hey Baby went on super easy and was neither gloopey nor clumpy. With it being a new formulation I expected some kind of drawback when applying but this was not case. Also, it was opaque in only one coat.

Score: 10 out of 10

Color

I found the color of this to be just a generic pink shade. If you have any other bright pink shades then you probably have a shade very similar to this and could probably skip picking this one up.

Score: 8 out of 10

Feel

I don’t know what I was expecting a creme gloss to feel like so I didn’t enter the review of this with any expectations. This feels exactly like your nails do after the application of top coat over your regular nail polish. It also has the same glossy look that a top coat does as well.

Score: 10 out of 10

Lasting Power

I painted my nails several days ago and they are still without chips, I think that OPI’s overall just have a longer lasting power than most polishes.

Score: 10 out of 10

Overall – 9.5 out of 10

It’s a pretty color but like you said kind of a generic pink. I don’t think it’s one that would be like yeah I need to spend OPI cost of nail polish on a plain jane pink. I don’t think I have a crΓ¨me finish but I like that you said it feels like you already have a top coat on. I’m thinking I need to go hunt me down a color. Like I need anymore nail polish in my life. Ha!

OPI has to be my favorite nail brand because of it’s staying power. I can have it on my toes for weeks before it begins to chip.

I love O.P.I polishes. It’s one of the ones that I do buy whenever I’m buying polishes along with Essie. I love that color. My daughter would probably love it as well. Thanks for sharing.

I love OPI polishes. I hope they make this one for Gels, it’s a great color -dark enough for the winter, but bright enough to warm me up thinking of spring.

I really like OPI polish. I have finally switched yo using gel polish all the time. I like not having to do my nails or have them done more than once every two weeks or sometimes it lasts even longer.

I’ve definitely started to become a nail polish snob. I can’t stand the cheap stuff that lasts a few hours. Do you use a top coat with your OPI polishes? Mine still tends to chip after a day or two. I’m often doing touch-ups during the week.
