5 Best Makeup Removers

5 Best Makeup Removers on southeastbymidwest.com #beauty #bblogger #makeupremover

Korres Makeup Wipes in Pomegranate || $12 – The Korres Makeup Wipes are some of my favorite on the market. They do not have a harsh smell, they remove just about all of my makeup with one wipe, and if I’m gently enough they can be used to remove most of my eye makeup. I have several packs of these running around my house (some in the bathroom, some in the makeup room, some in my travel kit, etc.) and they are well worth the money.

Philosophy Purity Cleanser || $35 – Philosophy’s Purity Cleanser is one of my favorite cleansers for when I have a nice thick face of makeup on and I really want to make sure that it ALL gets off. My only issue with the Purity Cleanser is that it is NOT safe around the eye area which means I would have to add in another cleanser. However, the fact that it not only takes off my make and cleans my face but that it fights acne as well makes it worth it.

Michael Todd Honey and Oat Gel Cleanser || $22 –  I just bought this a couple of weeks ago, be on the lookout for it in an upcoming haul, and it has already become one of my favorite cleansers. It smells great, it’s nice and thick so I don’t have problems with it sliding out of my hands (or off my face) as I apply it, it’s a foaming cleanser so adding a little bit of water makes it easier to apply, AND it doesn’t hurt the eyes so it can be used to remove eye makeup as well.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes || $4.97 – The Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipe are a good alternative to the Korres Makeup Wipes as they are a bit easier on the wallet. The only thing that needs to be considered with the Neutrogena wipes is that they do come in different scents. I have heard of others being bothered by the scent of the Lavender and the Pink Grapefruit varieties that Neutrogena offers. I would suggest getting one of the smaller travel packs first to make sure your skin isn’t irritated by these.

BeautyBlender Solid Cleanser || $15.95 – When you say makeup remover most people automatically think about something to take the makeup off of your face. However, the makeup on your brushes and tools needs to be removed as well. The Beautyblender Solid Cleanser is one of the best at removing makeup not only from the Beautyblender sponge but also from makeup brushes as well. The only brushes I do not use this with are my eye brushes, I use no tear shampoo for those in case I don’t get all of the cleanser off the brush.

Those are the 5 best makeup removers in MY opinion. If you agree or if you think there are others I should have included let me know in the comments below.

I’m a huge fan of makeup remover wipes (mainly because of convenience) but I haven’t found one that I can use on my eyes without it irritating them. I’ll have to try the Korres wipes and see if those are ok. All of the less expensive wipes seem to cause irritation.

I agree, I find that most drugstore ones irritate my eyes and any sensitive areas I might have. The Simple and Neutrogena wipes are the only ones that I have found that don’t do that, however, the Simple ones take quite a few wipes to remove the makeup unfortunately.

Baby oil can really clog the pores, if you want to try the Philosophy Purity cleanser you can probably find a small bottle of it at Sephora or Ulta for $10 to see how you like it. Friendly warning, because it is unclogging your pores and pulling a lot of dirt to the surface your first few uses you will have some breakouts. However, if you keep using it everyday those will quickly clear up. 🙂

I have used the Mary Kay Oil-Free Makeup remover for the past decade but now that my little girl (she is 13 now) has need of a makeup removal method, I am soooooo happy to have found this fabulous new cloth that only requires warm water to remove all out make-up, including the waterproof MK mascara that I have used for years. It is like a miracle cloth! If you are interested in trying one, I would be happy to send you one to personallyt review! Thanks!!
