The Coolway Cleanse & Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner are sold by Coolway as a combo pack for $29.98. To get the value of those two I divided the $29.98 price point in half and used the $14.99 as the value price point. That being said those could actually be worth a bit more than what I have here.
My May Beauty Box 5 cost me $12 and I received roughly $11.96 worth of product. Due to two of the products being sold as a combo this worth could be plus or minus a few. Hopefully, it’s the former and not the latter. My favorite item from the box is the Shea Terra Rose Hips Black Soap Cleanser, I love Shea Terra’s whipped body creams so I’m highly interested in trying this cleanser out. My least favorite item from the box is the LA Fresh Antiperspirant Wipes as I don’t really have a use for them, I do like the fact that they included three of them though. I would think that they would try to give you some samples that were valued OVER what you paid per month rather than falling just shy of it. It doesn’t seem worth it to me.
I agree! I’m hoping that this was just a one time experience. I’m subscribing for one more month, however, if this happens again I’ll be cancelling.
That’s kind of a bummer it’s not worth more. It’s nice to try out new samples, and get shipping I guess, but I want to feel like I’m getting a deal!

LA Fresh has had great wipes in my experience. If these are anything like their other wipes, they are well worth the little bit of money that they cost.

The wipes would be a little strange, but I’m sure they could be useful! For example, if you forget to slick on deodorant when you’re running late, just grab a wipe from your bag and you’re set! Sometimes you get great value from these kits, so I’m sure it all balances out.
That is a great idea! I might throw them in my first aid kit that I keep in the car.
Fresh and focused. I like the theme. I wish you got to have large samples of the items you ended up liking!
I think I’d be happy to have the wipes on hand. Never know when you may break a sweat and need to conceal it!!
I do not wear makeup buy my sister loves it. I am going to share this with her.
I really like how they package the products they send. I don’t order these type of boxes BUT my suggestion to them would be to put more conditioner in the tube..With my hair.. that would not be enough conditioner.

I’m subscribed to Ipsy and love it, but I’ve been toying around with the idea of subscribing to BB5… Not crazy about the fact that you got less then the value that you paid for it. Is that a regular thing from your experience?
I actually just resubscribed to Ipsy, eager to get my first bag (well for this round lol). As for that being a regular thing, this was actually my first box and I’m hoping that this isn’t a regular thing. I’m staying subscribed for June and if it happens again I will be cancelling. So make sure to check back later in June for the June unboxing 🙂

I just got LA Fresh makeup-removing wipes, but the antiperspirant wipes look great for travel!

The rosehips black soap sounds very interesting. I need to check it out. When I was a kid, we used to have a black soap that was made of pine tar.

Black soap is really great for treating like acne, discoloration, and even wrinkles. This site does a great job of explaining what exactly black soap is 🙂
Antiperspirant wipes are the thing right now, and they can be hard to find!

Overall, how to you feel about BeautyBox5? I’ve heard mixed reviews… I think I would’ve enjoyed three of the five in your box.
Right now I’m on the fence about it as this was my first box. I’ll be getting my June box in the next couple of weeks and will either stay subscribed or will be cancelling.

I really think I need to sign up for beauty boxes – I love trying new products but sometimes I’m too cheap to buy a full size one because I’m worried I won’t like it.
