We’re entering into October and after Pumpkin Spice whatevers and Halloween tutorials that can only mean one thing…Walmart Beauty Box! That’s right it’s time to unbox the Walmart Beauty Box: Fall 2016 edition!

Walmart Beauty Box: Fall 2016 Unboxing Contents || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #walmartbeautybox

Dove Sweet Cream & Peony Body Wash || A creamy and moisturizing body wash with a feminine floral scent.

Thoughts: I love Dove body washes and soaps in general. They are usually super moisturizing, the scents aren’t too strong, and they don’t leave a residue on the skin. I’m usually not a floral fan when it comes to scents, especially in body washes, so sadly this was a skip for me.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Original || A quick fix for greasy hair in between shampoos, can also provide volume. Has a “clean and classic” scent.

Thoughts: I’ve actually tried the Batiste Dry Shampoo before and it is not my favorite at all and I know that is a super unpopular opinion. Batiste just doesn’t do anything for my hair volume or grease wise, plus it just makes my hair crunchy. Sadly this was a skip for me as well.

Clean & Clear Deep Action 60 Second Shower Mask || Cleanser that works with the steam of the shower to penetrate the pores of the skin exfoliating and cleaning at the same time.

Thoughts: I’m torn on this product for one reason, the scent. This has a very soap scent to it which I found to be a bit strong near the eyes and nose. Other than that this cleanser works really well and leaves the skin feeling super clean.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream for Dry, Sensitive Skin || A moisturizing cream that is non-greasy with no fragrance. Can be used to alleviate symptoms from eczema and psoriasis on the hands, knees, and even the face.

Thoughts: I’m always a big fan of Cetaphil products so a moisturizer for dry skin is always a good product. This was non greasy and did leave my skin feeling soft.

Hello Naturally Friendly Pure Mint Toothpaste || A natural toothpaste that is free of gluten, artificial flavors, and peroxide. Comes in different flavors including mint.

Thoughts: Sadly, this is an automatic pass for me. I have super sensitive teeth so I only use toothpaste that is made for sensitive teeth. I’ll be passing this along to someone who may be able to use it.

Village Naturals Therapy Aches & Pains Muscle Relief || A bath soak that combines sea salt, epsom salt, and essential oils to help relieve muscle aches & pains. Also available in a night time soak as well.

Thoughts: I haven’t had the opportunity to try this out yet, however, I actually can’t to. I love soaking in a good relaxing bath and one that relieves the aches & pains from Cosmetology school is a bonus!

EcoTools Makeup Brush Cleansing Cloths || Cloths that can be used to cleanse makeup brushes daily. Made with aloe, cucumber, and other plant based ingredients.

Thoughts: Again, I haven’t had the opportunity to try this out and I’m actually thinking about waiting until I can get the full pack so that I can review them for the blog and my YouTube channel.

Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin, & Nails Gummies with Biotin || Gummies with nutrients like Vitamin C and E along with biotin. Promotes vibrant skin, lustrous hair, and healthy nails.

Thoughts: These tasted pretty good but obviously you can’t tell if they work after just one dose. For $7 you get, essentially, a month’s supply so I think the next time we’re over at the grocery store I’ll be picking up a bottle.

Biore Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips || Nose strips that are a step above as they are made with charcoal and therefore offer a bit more cleaning. These are designed to unclog pores and for the user to see 3x less oil.

Thoughts: I actually love Biore strips as they are really good at unclogging my pores. Yes even though I have dry skin I do have large pores that often get clogged. However, I found that the charcoal strips just do not have the same stick power that the regular ones I do. I’m planning on purchasing a smaller box to try again for an in depth review as this one could have just been a fluke.

Products Full Size Price My Size Worth
Dove Body Wash 22 oz. $5.47 1.8 oz. $0.45
Batiste Dry Shampoo 6.73 oz. $5.94 1.6 oz. $1.41
Clean & Clear Cleanser 5.0 oz. $4.99 1.0 oz. $1.00
Cetaphil Moisturizer 16.0 oz. $10.66 0.5 oz. $0.33
Hello Toothpaste 4.2 oz. $4.23 0.85 oz. $0.86
Village Naturals Therapy Soak 20 oz. $4.97 2 oz. $0.50
EcoTools Wipes 25 Wipes $6.98 1 wipe $0.28
Nature’s Bounty Vitamin 90 gummies $7.32 2 gummies $0.16
Biore Strips 18 strips $14.44 1 Strip $0.80
TOTAL $5.79

This quarters Walmart Beauty Box was a bit hit and miss but overall was pretty good. With a value of $5.79 the value isn’t much better than the $5 you pay for it but the overall value is still pretty good. I’m not as excited for the Winter Walmart Beauty Box but I’m still going to stay subscribed for the moment.

I am curious how the pain muscle relief bath soak works. With working and a baby there are always aches showing up! I love this post!

It actually worked pretty well…not as good as like Bengay or something like that in dealing with the sore muscles but it was more relaxing (and it smelled better!) than Bengay lol

I didn’t even know Walmart had a beauty box…so neat! What a lovely selection of goodies, too. I especially love those Biore Charcoal Strips…I’ve actually used those for some time. They are fantastic!

I haven’t joined the Walmart Beauty Box yet, but I’ve been thinking about it. I love how you lay out the pricing for each item to see what their actual value is. It can be hard to know whether it was worth it or not.

Wow! I must be living in a hole because I didn’t know that Walmart has a subscription box. I think the Walmart Beauty Box sounds like a great deal! I will have to check it out.

Those are a ton of products!! I personally have become obsessed with dry shampoo…if used properly it works wonders! Also, I am a fan of natural toothpastes, but I have never tried that brand.

You don’t live in a hole, I’ve actually gotten that a lot over my reviews of the box for the past year…and it doesn’t help that they don’t advertise it very well either.

I wish more natural toothpastes made sensitive teeth options but I guess if they didn’t it wouldn’t be natural. Dry shampoo is AMAZING when used properly.
