StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner

I mentioned awhile ago in my Paula’s Choice Skin Care overview about a product I was using for my pores, BH9. I’ve decided to slowly start trying out other skin care products to see how they compare to the Paula’s Choice products and I decided to start with the the pores. I stopped using the BH9 and introduced StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner into my routine.

StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner claims to improve cell turnover while delivering instant and long-term visible pore reduction. StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner also leaves kin looking mattified while reducing the size of pores and absorbing excess oil and hydrating skin. It does all this whit a patented NIA-114 technology. You are supposed to use the StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner both in the morning and the evening as the last step in your skin care routine. Lastly, the StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner formulation is a lightweight lotion in a convenient pump bottle.

Those are a lot of claims! Did it work though? Yes the StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner did reduce the size of my pores, however, I felt like it undid everything that I’m trying to achieve in my skin care routine. Because my skin is so dry I am currently using products that are designed to make my skin produce more oil, however, while the StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner would initially moisturize my skin as my skin care routine progressed throughout the day and my skin produced oils it would absorb them. I feel that if you you had normal or combination skin this would be perfect for you! However, if you are dry like me you might want to look for another product.

I haven’t hear of this before. It is great that it works to reduce pores but I need something that moisturizes all day long.

My skin is dry and I don’t have large pores, but I loved reading your honest reviews. I’m glad that it reduced the size of your pores and hate that it undid everything you were trying to do with your skin care routine. It’s all about trial and error, I guess.

It’s funny, I was JUST talking about products like this yesterday and my friends got on me about not using anything but soap and water. This one sounds perfect for me because I do have combination skin that’s more on the oily side.

This sounds like a fabulous product! I’m always looking for new ways to spruce up my skin, especially during the cold Winter months!

I would love to give this product a try. I don’t really have “normal” skin but I wouldn’t really classify it as oily either. My pores never bothered me until a couple of years ago when I stopped wearing so much make up. If there is something that will shrink the look of them I am all for it!

I need to give this a try. I am always looking for something to reduce pore size, but I also have the problem with dry skin. Maybe I can do a combination with this cream to get the desired results.

I’ve been using this the past month too and OMG it’s changed my life! I love it! I had a sample of the Paulas Choice BHA9 awhile ago and loved that too!

You did a great job with the review! With being in my mid 40s, my skin is so temperamental. Sometimes it’s dry and other times as oily as a teenagers. Unfortunately I don’t think this will work for me to try, however, I’m glad that you did the review so I know how it works.

I have to opposite skin as you- I am super oily. I actually liked the way this worked. It didn’t make me breakout but it also didn’t make too much of a difference on my pores, either.

Interesting that it doesn’t work as well for your dry skin! I’ve heard such great reviews on this product, but it makes total sense that it would be kind of drying.

My pores drive me insane but I have to be careful about the types of products that I use. I have combination skin but my skin is VERY sensitive. Was the product harsh? Or, would you recommend something else to someone with sensitive skin?

If you have very sensitive skin I would stay away from this just in case. I did have a bit of stinging around my eyes if I sweated during the day after applying so I imagine it would probably irritate your skin if you used it.

Sounds like an awesome product for normal skin types, I do not use pore creams that often but the porefessional one worked for me when I did use it

This sounds like a great product indeed that shrinks the pores and moisturizes the skin. I would love to try StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner because I think it would work great on my fine wrinkles too. Thanks for the review.

I should give this a try to reduce my pores. The older you get the larger they get. Thanks or sharing. Found you from your link party.
