If you’ve been around for the past two weeks then you know that Tarte is celebrating their 20th Birthday. Last week I reviewed the Cue the Confetti Eyeshadow Palette, read that review here. The week before that I reviewed the Birthday Bae Blush, read that review here. Both of those products and a mascara are included in the Tarte Cue the Confetti Party Collection, so let’s talk about this set.
About the Tarte Cue the Confetti Collection
The Cue the Confetti Collection is a special edition collection that Tarte released in celebration for their 20th birthday. The collection includes a full-size Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara, a full-size Amazonian Clay Blush in the shade Birthday Bae, and a 5-pan eyeshadow palette in Cue the Confetti. The Cue the Confetti Collection retails for $45 and can be purchased at Tarte or Macy’s.
Tarte Cue the Confetti Collection Review
As I mentioned above, I reviewed both the blush and the palette from this collection already on the blog. I honestly liked both of them but they both had their faults as well. The packaging for the blush is amazing and reusable so you can put a different Tarte blush in the packaging. However, my blush wasn’t super pigmented and took a lot to build up. I’ve seen a lot of people raving about the blush so I’m wondering if mine was just a dud *shrug*. The palette is a gorgeous set of neutrals that are in a super travel friendly packaging. However, if you have any other Tarte palettes or any number of neutral shadows this may not be revolutionary for your collection. The Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara is your typical Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara just in a super cute packaging. This mascara isn’t waterproof (that would be Lights, Camera, Splashes) but it holds up really well on my lashes.
Final Thoughts on the Tarte Cue the Confetti Collection
Ultimately I feel that this collection is an amazing value. If you were to purchase all three of these items separately they would cost $71 ($19 for the palette, $23 for the mascara, and $29 for the blush) so if you’re wanting more than one of these items then you might want to get the collection instead. Also, if you don’t have a lot of Tarte products or you are newer to makeup then this would be a good set to get. However if you have quite a few Tarte shadows and/or quite a few neutral palettes/shadows then you may want to give this collection a skip.

This really is such an amazing value!
It really is. If you know anyone with a birthday coming up who likes makeup this would be great for them.
I have the Tarte blush in a dusty mauve shade, and I love it. I like blush to be subtle, so I like that I can build this one up, and it stays on my cheeks longer than the ColourPop cream blush that I use most days. I agree, the birthday bundle is an amazing value
Would you believe that I’ve never tried any of the ColourPop’s blushes?!
great deal indeed. I used to own several tarte blushes before when they first came out. now I feel old, it’s been 20 years, lol
I know! Every time I hear “It’s been 20 (or 30) years since XYZ” I’m like “Noooooo there’s no way that was…nvm yep it totally was *sigh* lol”
In general Tarte has excellent blush so it’s a shame that this one doesn’t show up well. Still sounds like a good palette for someone who is new to Tarte.
Agreed on both counts. With how pigmented the other Tarte blushes I have are, I think this one might just be a dud (as in this specific one not this shade).
That looks like a nice set but not for my taste.
Understandable.
