Night Owl Lacquer Snowy Owl Nail Polish is a white polish that is based off of Hedwig from Harry Potter. In all honesty are you surprised that it’s based off of Harry Potter? The last Night Owl Lacquer I reviewed was based off of Harry Potter and I found out about the brand from a Harry Potter themed nail polish box. I’m obsessed, however, the question is: am I obsessed with this nail polish? Keep scrolling to find out.
About the Night Owl Lacquer Snowy Owl Nail Polish
The full-size Snowy Owl Nail Polish has 15 mL of product, is based off of Harry Potter, and retails for $9.00. The Snowy Owl Nail Polish can be purchased from Night Owl Lacquer.
Night Owl Lacquer claims that their polishes are cruelty free, five-free, and that Snowy Owl specifically is opaque in two coats. The packaging for Night Owl Lacquers polishes is a square bottle instead of the typical round and the brush is a bit wider in design than that of a regular nail polish. Night Owl Lacquer Snowy Owl Nail Polish Review
Normally I talk about the packaging first and then move onto my thoughts about the product in the next section. However, since the packaging for this is the same as the other Night Owl Lacquer polishes and I just reviewed another one in my previous Mani Monday I’m going to skip that now. Instead, let’s talk about how Snowy Owl performed with the different top coats. Pictured above is two coats of Snowy Owl with one coat of OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat. I use this as my current “glossy” or “regular” finish top coat. As you can see, the polish did not react in a negative way to the use of a quick-dry top coat instead of a regular top coat. In person, it almost has a gel polish look to it when partnered with this top coat.
Pictured above is two coats of Snowy Owl with one coat of OPI Matte Top Coat. As you can see, with this top coat Snowy Owl gets that flattened matte look. However, I think that it still holds the “liveliness” that can sometimes be taken out when you mattify some polishes with shimmers and flakies. In all honesty, while matte isn’t my favorite way to wear most polishes, this one doesn’t look half bad. That being said, this polish looks absolutely AMAZING in person with a “regular” / “glossy” top coat.
Final Thoughts on the Night Owl Lacquer Snowy Owl Nail Polish
Honestly, you should be able to guess my thoughts on this polish. Do you put any kind of decoration/color/covering on your nails? Yes? Then you need the Snowy Owl polish in your life. That’s all that NEEDS to be said. However, since I can feel your jaw dropping at my audacity, I’ll expand. It’s a gorgeously STUNNING white polish with a gold shimmer that you can’t really see but that adds life to the polish. The specks you are seeing are gold micro flakies and midnight flakies which give it a little hint of something. This polish isn’t inspired by Hedwig, it is the perfect representation of her. So if you’re a Harry Potter fan call that a double reason. I’m sorry are you STILL sitting here reading this? Click the button below to go purchase this now!

Harry isn’t one of my obsessions but nail polish is, especially when it comes from an indie polish maker. The Night Owl Lacquers I own are all excellent. This is another I’d love to have in my collection.

Very pretty polish, especially for winter. For me, I would skip the matte topcoat.

That polish is really beautiful. I’ve been wearing lighter polishes, lately and one like this would really fit in.
