So is the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner worth the hefty price tag? Check out the video below or just keep scrolling to find out!

Before we talk about my thoughts let’s talk about what exactly the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner are supposed to do. Both are marketed as being repairing and restorative with the shampoo balancing the scalp and reinforcing the inner strength of hair strands while both the shampoo and conditioner also protecting against UV rays and other environmental factors. How do the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner do these things? To balance the scalp the Gold Lust Shampoo contains bromelain, comes from the stems of pineapples, to exfoliate the scalp. To reinforce the hair strands the Gold Lust Shampoo has the Oribe Signature Complex in it which is supposedly a blend of flower extracts. To reinforce the hair strands the Gold Lust Shampoo AND Conditioner use a mixture of Mediterranean Cyprus Extract and Oribe’s bio-restorative complex to strengthen the hair cuticle. Lastly the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner use argan and maracuja oils to hydrate and add shine to the hair during the cleansing and conditioning process! Other ingredients for the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner are:

Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo and Conditioner Conditioner || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #hair #haircare #oribe #oribeobsessed

The first thing I want to address is that yes these have a slight scent, no they don’t smell like flowers, and the scent does fade; in all honesty I want to say that the scent is just expensive shampoo and conditioner because I really can’t say what it smells like I just know it isn’t flowers! Anywho, moving on. I judge shampoo and conditioners based on one thing and one thing only, how my dandruff looks after using them. I’m only kidding slightly. Due to my extremely dry scalp and eczema, I produce a good amount of scalp flaking and dandruff. Yes I know that’s disgusting and yes I have tried all the T-Gels and other products and no they didn’t do anything for it. How I decide if a shampoo or conditioner gets a good review is the condition it leaves my scalp, hair, and yes dandruff in because really that’s what YOU need to know as well. The Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo claims to balance the scalp by exfoliating it and boy does it do that. I put the shampoo on, lather it up, and then use the pads of my fingers to massage into the scalp and I INSTANTLY feel it starting to exfoliate off the dandruff and flakes but without pain. After rinsing the shampoo out my hair does feel a little to clean so I for sure go in with the conditioner afterwards. For the conditioner I apply mainly to the end of my hair and then comb through from scalp to ends with what’s left on my fingers. I then let that sit while I continue with my shower routine so that it has ample time to penetrate the hair shaft. Once I’m ready to rinse the conditioner out I drop the temperature of the shower a tad and then rinse the conditioner out and I can, again, INSTANTLY feel how soft my hair is compared to other conditioners…

Final Thoughts on Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner

Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo and Conditioner Final Thoughts || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #hair #haircare #oribe #oribeobsessed

I know your probably thinking, yeah yeah so the shampoo made your scalp feel good and the conditioner made your hair feel soft but did it WORK. Yes it did, amazingly! When I use the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner my hair stays soft and not frizzy all day, my dandruff stays away all day, my hair also sheds less throughout the day…now I’m not going to say it’s a miracle worker and all my hair shedding stopped completely because your hair is going to shed it’s a fact of life but it did greatly minimize my hair shedding from the last shampoo I used coughHerbalEssencescough. Now the big question I know your asking, is it worth the $101 combined price tag? For me, yes it is. As soon as I can I’ll be purchasing these. Now if these aren’t in your budget then no they’re not worth it, it’s not worth going into debt for an amazing shampoo and conditioner when there are ones at Ulta and Sephora that cost less and probably do just as good. However, if you have the funds then I highly suggest picking these up!

Would you pay high dollar for a shampoo and conditioner?

I’ve always been curious about Oribe, but I had no idea how incredibly expensive the products are! What interests me most is that they protect hair from the sun’s rays since my hair is color-treated red and fades like mad. But I am fortunate that I have good hair and scalp, and I probably couldn’t justify the price. But I’m glad to hear that you got great results from them!.

Ouch, I’d love to try them but they’re definitely not in my budget at this time. They sound great though!

I knew Oribe was pricy but I didn’t realize just how expensive. No wonder my friend goes nuts if I get Oribe samples and bring them to her. If I had problems with my hair I’d spend the money when able but otherwise I’d have to go with something more affordable.

I have never heard of this brand before. I don’t think I could afford this shampoo and conditioner even though it looks interesting.
