One of the first groups of beauty YouTubers that I followed had a YouTuber named Bunny in it. Bunny’s channel had Get Ready With Me’s, Does this Thing Work, but most of all it had a message of be yourself no matter what yourself was. I especially loved her “tagline” of “Subscribe and give a gator its wings”. I was super excited when the Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette was announced and I couldn’t get wait to get my hands on it! However, like all things in life things came up and I had to put getting the palette on hold, until the Hubs surprised me with it. Does the Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette live up to my expectations? Check out the video below, or keep scrolling, to find out!
About the Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette
The Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette is a 9 eyeshadow and 3 face powder palette housed in faux wood grain packaging with the name of the palette and a gator with wings in gold. The palette was made by Tarte Cosmetics in collaboration with Bunny a.k.a. Grav3yardgirl from YouTube. All 12 products in the palette are currently exclusive to the palette. The shadows are a mix of matte and lusters while the three face products are listed as being “universal”. The shadows are a mix of light, medium, and dark neutrals with no big pops of colors. All shade names are ones inspired by Bunny herself.
The Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette also comes with a brush that keeps with the theme of the palette. The handle of the brush has the same faux wood grain as the packaging of the palette and the ferrule is gold to match the writing on the palette. The style of the brush is a flat shader brush and is actually pretty decent quality. Both the brush and the palette are cruelty free as all Tarte products are. The Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette is paraben, phthalate, sodium lauryl sulfate, mineral oil, and gluten free!
Swatches of the Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette
#SFS is rose gold with a luster finish. It means Swamp Family Strong and is a hashtag Bunnny uses regularly.
natural peaches is peach with a matte finish. It represents her entourage The Fresh Natural Peaches.
dogman is burnt orange with a matte finish and gold reflects. It is named after the nickname that Bunny gave her boyfriend/fiancée/husband.

sassy bun is copper / peach with a luster finish. Sassy bun is what Bunny calls the messy bun she likes to wear.
sippy sippy is brown with a matte finish and gold glitter. When Bunny takes drink breaks in her videos she always says “Sippy Sippy” with an exaggerated drinking noise.

uncommon is purple with a luster finish. It is a shortened version of her favorite thrift store, Uncommon Objects.
mancat is deep purple with a matte finish. Mancat was the name of Bunny’s cat who passed away, this shade is in memory of him.

does this thing really work? is a pink blush that is also the series where she tests out “As Seen on TV Products” and just general items.
gator wings is a light gold highlighter and is named after how she asks people to subscribe.
Final Thoughts on the Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette
I absolutely love everything about the Tarte Swamp Queen Eyeshadow Palette. I feel that the palette was a great collaboration between Tarte and Bunny and showcased both of them perfectly. Tarte’s products are on point in this palette; easily blended, highly pigmented, with a slight vanilla scent that isn’t distracting at all. Bunny’s personality comes through in the design of the palette, the names of the products, and the shade choices. Even if you have no idea who Bunny is, I highly suggest that you pickup this palette if you happen to see it anywhere. Or click here to purchase it directly from Tarte Cosmetics!

I LOVE the colors in this palette! I have always been a sucker for any shadows in the purple family.
Subscribe and give a gator its wings is an awesome tagline. I have not heard of this palette. But its so pretty. I would definitely be curious if I could make those colors work.
I’m not sure I could pull off those colors, but they sure look awesome!
Oh wow! I don’t wear a lot of eyeshadow, but this sounds like an amazing brand. I love all the colors!!!
Wow, those swatches you have are gorg! I don’t own a Tarte a palette but have definitely eyed them before. The packaging is so cute too haha.
I used to love watching her videos! I didn’t know she made makeup. I love the SFS, with the touch of rose luster!
I tend to avoid collabs because the quality isn’t always there, but it’s great to see that Bunny’s palette still retains Tarte’s great quality.
I’ve noticed the same thing about collaborations and as a fan of hers I’m glad that this wasn’t the case for this palette!
Some of my favorite eyeshadow palettes are from Tarte. I saw this one and thought about getting it, but didn’t. Looks like a really pretty one.
Those colors are really pretty! Not the colors I imagines they would be though when I heard “swamp queen.” I thought it would be more greens, blacks and browns.
