One of the things that I sometimes like to do is use a “liquid” blush for a nice flush to the cheeks. I usually do this when I’m going sans foundation and I’m only rocking, at most, a tinted moisturizer that way I don’t have to set with powder. I was actually on the market for a new “liquid” blush when the Pixi Sheer Beauty Products PR package arrived on my doorstep. Check out the video below to see what all was in it and keep scrolling for swatches and my thoughts!
Pixi Sheer Beauty Products: Sheer Cheek Gels
Size: 0.45 oz. each
Claims: Gel Blush | Translucent | Oil-Free | Fragrance Free | Hydrating
Price: $14.00 / each
The first thing I want to say about the Pixi Sheer Cheek Gels is that a little goes a long way. The Cheek Gels go on like a gel product and have a nice cool feel to them. You can then blend them with either a brush your fingertips for a nice sheer flush to the face. Although, obviously the more product you use the more visible the color will be. The Cheek Gels do dry down and don’t stay wet, however, if you’re going to be sweating you may want to set with a powder or blush for longevity. I’d personally just rather carry the tube on me and reapply a little product later in the day as needed. Currently there are three shades available; natural, rosy, and flushed. Natural is a pinky shade with a bit of gold reflect in it, it almost looks like it could be a gel / liquid dupe for Nars Orgasm Blush. Rosy is a reddish pink also with gold shimmer, this one shears out to a very pretty pinky red. Flushed is a deeper more purply red but don’t be deceived by the bottle it can be sheered out to a lighter shade or built up. In the picture above they are swatched as Natural on the left, Rosy in the middle, and Flushed on the far right.
Pixi Sheer Beauty Products: GelTint & SilkGloss
Size: 0.11 oz. x 2 / each
Claims: Lip Tint with Partnering Gloss | Staining Effect | Jojoba Infused Gloss | Wear Alone or Together | Hydrating
Price: $12.00 / each
I love the idea and the execution of the Pixi GelTint & SilkGloss. The one end of each is a lip tint that stains the lips and has nice longevity due to the staining. The other end is a gloss to partner with the tint that does wear off after awhile. I love that each end can be worn separately or alone and that for the most part each gloss complements the tint. The only shade I was a bit iffy on was the BerryTint & SweetGloss as they were pretty similar in shade so the gloss just made the shade look glossy whereas the other two had noticeable shade differences between the gloss and tints. The glosses were very hydrating and in all honesty I would probably purchase the PinkTint & PrettyGloss just for the gloss alone! In the picture above they are swatched unlayered and follow as PinkTint & PrettyGloss in the upper left, BeachTint & FreshGloss in the upper right, and BerryTint & SweetGloss at the bottom.
Final Thoughts on Pixi Sheer Beauty Products
Overall I really liked the look of all of these products, the feel of them, and the price is right as well. If you’re looking for a product that is going to give a nice flush and stain the cheek and / or lip for a more long lasting product and that isn’t going to break the bank then you need to try these Pixi Sheer Beauty Products. Check them out when you’re at Target and let me know if you pick any of them up!
