Pixi is steadily releasing products and the more they release the more excited I get. Today I’m going to talk to you about some of the Pixi Glycolic Glow Products that are available. Before I go into the different products let me tell you a bit about glycolic acid and why it’s good for your skin. Glycolic acid is a tiny alpha hydroxy acid that is able to deeply penetrate the skin. Glycolic acid gets down into the skin and helps the dead skin come after easier which helps reduce fine lines, unblock pores, treat acne, and more! The Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser, Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go Exfoliating Toner Pads, and Pixi Overnight Glow Serum are just three of the products that Pixi has that have glycolic acid in them. So let’s talk about them!
Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser
Size: 4.57 oz.
Claims: Deep Pore Cleansing Mud | 5% Glycolic Acid | Mild Enough for All Skin Types | Gently Exfoliates | Cruelty Free (all products are)
Price: $18.00
Purchase Target | Birchbox | Pixi Beauty
The Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser is a mud cleanser, obviously, that feels just like any cleanser but has glycolic acid in it to go below the surface and get to work. When you get this don’t open it expecting like the St. Ives Peach Scrub (which is amazing), this is how the Pixi Glycolic Glow Products are able to be gentle enough for all skin types. Now the Glow Mud Cleanser does have a slight fragrance when you first apply it but does fade after a bit.
I felt like the Glow Mud Cleanser did an amazing job of cleansing my skin and leaving it feeling clean and soft and not harsh or dry. I like that the Glow Mud Cleanser didn’t have a “dirty” feel to it which can happen with some mud cleansers. This will for sure be a repurchase for me!

Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go Exfoliating Toner Pads
Size: 60 pads
Claims: Exfoliating Pads with Glow Tonic | 5% Glycolic Acid | Aloe Ver and Ginseng | Tones, Brightens, and Hydrates | Alcohol Free
Price: $18.00
Purchase: Target | Birchbox | Pixi Beauty
The Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go Exfoliating Toner Pads are cotton pads that are soaked in the Pixi Glow Tonic and placed in a travel-friendly container. The Exfoliating Toner Pads can be used as a toner, after cleansing and before serum or moisturizer, and exfoliator in one. The pads are a tad rough so this is more of a physical exfoliator than the cleanser was. These do have a STRONG floral scent, same as the Glow Tonic, that also goes away as it soaks into the skin.
I love the Pixi Glow Tonic and I love the convenience that these provide, however, I felt that these were a bit to dry for my dry skin which loves it some moisture. So if you have combination or oily skin you’ll probably love these. If you have dryer skin you may either want to use a different product or get a bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic and add a little extra product…I totally did not do that with the bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic that I had already purchased to review…okay so I totally did and it made them a lot better for my skin!

Pixi Overnight Glow Serum

Claims: Exfoliating Overnight Serum | 10% Glycolic Acid | Vitamins A, C, and E to Nourish | Cucumber and Aloe to Calm | Reduces Fine Lines & Sun Spots Over Time
Price: $24.00
Purchase: Target | Pixi Beauty
The Pixi Overnight Glow Serum is a serum that is used overnight to deliver glycolic acid, vitamins, aloe, and other goodies into the skin. The Overnight Glow Serum comes with a glass dropper and has no real fragrance to it.
Can we talk for a second about that glass dropper?! I love when drugstore products have great quality like this. However, while I love the glass dropper I found that it wasn’t practical for MY application of the product. The Overnight Glow Serum is a thick serum and my skin was DRINKING IT UP. I didn’t have enough time to get it on my face and rubbed in before I needed to add a little bit more and the dropper with that thick of a product wasn’t helping me. BUT if your skin isn’t as dry as mine (think Sahara) then you’ll need the slightest amount anyway. I LOVED the Overnight Glow Serum and HIGHLY recommend it as a great drugstore serum but I’ll have to stick to my current serum until my skin starts to get a bit better (sad panda face!).

Pixi Glycolic Glow Products: Final Thoughts
These products were all amazing and the ones that didn’t exactly work for my skin I think would be great for those with slightly oiler skin. Pixi hit it out of the park with these products and I can’t wait to start testing out the next Pixi Product that I have, the Pixi Peel & Polish, so look for that soon!
