Have you heard of MultiMisting? MultiMisting is the act of using multiple mists in your skin care / makeup routine. Now I thought this was a pretty common practice as it’s something that I’ve been doing for awhile, however, it seems that this is actually a practice that is just now catching on. To go along with this “new” trend Pixi Beauty has released the Pixi Skintreats Beauty Mists which is a set of mists that can be used throughout your routine for different aspects. I’m going to tell you about each beauty mist and how you would use it in your beauty routine. As for the MultiMisting aspect, the only thing you need to remember about MultiMisting is that you need to give each mist time to settle into the skin before going in with the next one or applying other products on top. For my full review, to see how each mists, and for more info on MultiMisting; check out the video below!
Pixi Skintreats Beauty Mists: Pre Mists
The first two mists that we’re going to talk about are the pre mists. These mists would either be used during your skin care routine or at the very beginning of your makeup routine. The first mist is the Pixi Skintreats Vitamin Wakeup Mist and it is the orange one. The Vitamin Wakeup Mist is designed to be used after cleansing the skin to help wake it up. I love what this mist did for my skin, however, I wasn’t a big fan of how it sprayed.
The second mist is the Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Mist and it is the white one. The Hydrating Milky Mist is designed to be used to moisturize the skin. You can use this with your current moisturizer, by itself as a moisturizer, or throughout the day if you think your skin needs extra moisture. Due to how dry my skin is I actually use this before I go in with my current moisturizer as an extra layer of moisture. Oh and this CAN be used with your evening skin care routine as well.
Pixi Skintreats Beauty Mists: Post Mists
The last two mists that we’re going to talk about are the post mists. These mists would be used at the end of your makeup routine. The third mist is the Pixi Skintreats Makeup Fixing Mist and it is the pink one. The Makeup Fixing Mist is designed to be used at the end of applying makeup to set the makeup and help it blend together. While this does have a slight rose sent that reminds me a lot of the Mario Badescu Facial Spray that does die down once it’s on the skin. However, it really reminds me more of MAC Fix +. This will be a great cruelty free alternative for those who are wanting that MAC Fix + feel but don’t want to use non-cruelty free products.
The fourth mist is the Pixi Skintreats Glow Mist and it is the green one with separation. I’ve actually talked about this mist here and think that it is a great setting mist for those who are wanting a glow. Just remember to shake before you spray!
Pixi Skintreats Beauty Mists: Final Thoughts
Ultimately whether you should MultiMist depends on if you see more than one mist that would be a benefit to YOUR beauty routine. I used all four of these mists multiple times and loved each one for what they did for my skin, my only issues with some of these were with the actual mister and not the sprays. For someone who has dry skin, like myself, I would recommend all four of these sprays. However, someone with oily skin who doesn’t want to be glowy / dewey might want to stay away from the Glow Mist. It’s all about finding what’s right for your skin but you really can’t go wrong with these four sprays if they suit your skin, in my opinion.

Interesting! I’ve only used mists a few times, and I’ve never multimisted! I’ll have to look more into this!
roxy says
So interesting! I’d actually made my own spray for this purpose (after being told of the positive effects by my makeup instructor) but I’m delighted to see that brands are now starting to make these. I’ll have to check these out!

I’ve actually seen a lot of people going to more natural and homemade makeup items like mists and makeup removers. It has me very intrigued.

MultiMisting? I only heard this term now but I have seen moisturizer like this on Korean series. I like the idea of just misting your face, the experience is subtle on skin and refreshing. And I think, it optimize the use of the product. I wonder, for how long this product could be used. I hope to try this soon!
Brittany says
Oooh I want to try all of these! I’m a total product junkie and I would love trying all of these out! Which one is your favorite? Maybe I’ll start with one.
Cassie says
The Milky Moisturizer is my favorite and if you don’t have dry skin you can get away with it being the only moisturizer you use in your routine. However, if you have oily skin and are hesitant about a moisturizer then the Makeup Fixing Mist would be a great one to not only set your makeup but to also give a refreshing feel to the face throughout the day.
