Size: 0.25 oz.

Price: $14.39 – $16.00

Purchase: Target / Ulta

I never leave the house without putting two makeup products in my bag. The first is, of course, a lip stick or tinted balm and the second is a mascara. I have a few lipsticks and mascara’s that permanently live in my bag for emergency lip/mascara changes or quick pick-me ups. For the past few weeks I’ve added a new mascara to my bag to try out. Pacifica recently sent me their new Dream Big Mascara, a twistable wand mascara, to review and I put it through it’s paces. Keep reading to see what I thought of the Pacifica Dream Big Mascara.

Pacifica Dream Big Mascara Packaging || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #pacificabeauty #dreambig #crueltyfree #mascara

As I mentioned in my previous Pacifica posts (links down below), Pacifica is a 100% vegan and cruelty-free brand. Their products tend to be more natural than your other “drugstore” cosmetic brands with ingredients like coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, and different vitamins. Along with that Pacifica is currently promoting their “Power of Love Recycling Program” which essentially means that most of the outer and actual product packaging are recyclable in an effort to keep the planet beautiful.

Ingredients

Aqua, Glyceryl Stearate Se, Jojoba Esters, Glycerin (Vegetable), Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17, Tapioca Starch, Stearic Acid (Vegetable), Cellulose, Phospholipids, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax), Arabic / Acacia Gum, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Panthenol (Vitamin B), Gluconolactone, Macrocystis Pyifera (Brown Kelp) Extract, Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein, Hydrolyzed Oryza Sativa (Rice) Protein, Sodium Benzoate.
May Contain: Iron Oxides CI 77499.

Pacifica Dream Big Mascara Long Wand || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #pacificabeauty #dreambig #crueltyfree #mascara

Pacifica claims that the Dream Big Mascara uses natural plant fibers to amplify lashes, that the Dream Big Mascara gives length and volume, and that the natural ingredients help to condition lashes. According to Pacifica you get the length, volume, and amplified lashes by applying a layer of Dream Big Mascara with the long wand and then applying a second layer of the Dream Big Mascara with the wand twisted to now become shorter. The long wand gives you length while the shorter wand will give you volume. You can layer as many times as needed to get the desired volume and length that you are wanting. Pacifica also says that you should use the Dream Big Mascara on the daily for “best results and the longest lashes ever!”

Pacifica Dream Big Mascara Short Wand || Southeast by Midwest #beauty #bbloggers #pacificabeauty #dreambig #crueltyfree #mascara

The first thing that I want to say about the Dream Big Mascara is that if you’re only looking for length or volume and this mascara sounds like something you want to try then do! The beautiful thing about twistable-wand mascaras is that they are a great way for a company to fit two wand designs into one, however, that doesn’t mean that if you like the lengthening wand, for example, but don’t need a lot volume that you can’t still use this. All you have to do is keep it twisted to the lengthening side and you’re good. As for the Dream Big Mascara itself. When I used the Dream Big Mascara I got great length and volume out of it, as advertised, and my lashes felt a lot sturdier. I’ve had a problem with a few sheds lately and for the several days that I was wearing this I didn’t have any sheds. My only complaint about the Dream Big Mascara is that it does have a bit of a wet formula so it can take it a second to dry down but in my experience that means that it will take it a bit longer to go bad than a drier formula would. If you’ve been around my blog/youtube for awhile then you know that my eyes are super sensitive, especially when it comes to mascaras and they tend to break down super fast on me. I did not have a problem with the Dream Big Mascara breaking down at all. I put it around 7am and didn’t take it off until after 6pm, that’s quite an accomplishment for a mascara on my lashes!

Overall I would say that if you’re looking for a new mascara give this one a try. It has a great formula, gives great length and volume, and has pretty good staying power!

Shopping Tips:

* If you’re going to be shopping at Ulta (either physical or online) don’t forget to lookup the $3.50 off coupon. Pacifica is not excluded from the coupon.
* If you’re going to be shopping at a physical Target location make sure to check out the Cartwheel App to see if there is a coupon for Pacifica running. At the time of writing this there was a 15% off coupon.
* If you’re going to be shopping at either store online make sure to go through Ebates first. Target currently gives you 2% cash back while Ulta gives you 6%.

    I have the length, it’s the volume that I’m always looking for. It’s great to hear that this mascara delivers on both. I’ll have to try it.

    The coupons can really save you a lot when you shop. It;s nice that the mascara can last you a whole day as this can save you a lot in reapplication.

    This mascara looks fantastic. Typically I am just a Maybelline gal but maybe this would help my sleep deprived eyes look more open and awake.

    I’m always looking for a great mascara and this one sounds fabulous! I always use ebates or the cartwheel app to save some money! I’ll definitely be on the lookout for this brand the next time I’m in the store!

    I’d love to try Pacifica mascara. Mascara is one of the things I wear everyday. I don’t like a dramatic look, but I do love how mascara brightens my eyes and makes me look so much more put together.

    I have great natural lashes, but the mascara really makes them pop. I like the shorter wand, long wand option for better technique.

    I don’t wear makeup very often. I bet my daughter would love to try this mascara though. She loves mascara that makes her lashes look longer.

    The one thing I love wearing when I do actually put on make up is mascara. The odd time some nice eye shadow too but mascara is a must. I need a good one but I hadn’t heard of this brand even until this post. Would love to check it out!

    I love beauty products made with coconut! This set looks amazing and I like all the different oils that are in the ingredient list. The box looks nice too, making it a perfect gift for girls and women.

    I’ve very skeptical when it comes to mascaras, but then again I think it is all subjective. I’ve been using the same one for over 20 years and hardly every try new ones because I love it so much.

    I’m honestly not much of a makeup person, but I do like the way that mascara can make your eyes pop out more than usual. I need to play around with makeup a bit more.
