Mother’s Day was last week so I called my mom and the Hubs spent some quality time with his mom. However, I got to thinking afterwards about how when Mother’s Day rolls around it’s usually me calling my mom and while the Hubs will talk to her it’s usually about me and her, the same goes with his mom. To me that just doesn’t seem right, shouldn’t I be thanking the woman who brought my husband into the world and raised him to be the man he is? Shouldn’t I tell her that she is valued and not just on Mother’s Day? I decided right then and there that I was going to be making a Mother-in-Law Gift Basket for my mother-in-law featuring some Coty Love 2 Love fragrances that I saw at the store.
When I saw this Coty Love 2 Love Display in Walmart I knew I was going to have to include at least one of the scents in my Mother-in-Law Gift Basket. Reading the descriptions for the different perfumes, I knew these would be right up my mother-in-law’s alley. I was for sure that she would like the Bluebell + White Tea but sadly they didn’t have that one in stock, so I had to pick a different one to go with the Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa I was getting her.
Coty Love 2 Love Fragrances
- Fresh Rose + Peach
- Top Notes: peach nectar, lychee, and fresh cassis
- Middles Notes: geranium and Bulgarian rose oil
- Base Notes: musk and orris
- Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa
- Top Notes: dewy peony, raspberry kiss, and sparkling mimosa
- Middle Notes: honeysuckle, jasmine, and sweet pea
- Base Notes: skin musk, rosewood, and almond blossom
- Bluebell + White Tea
- Top Notes: Italian bergamot, blueberry white tea, and nectarine
- Middle Notes: orange flower, bluebell flower, and jasmine sambac
- Base Notes: cashmere woods, sheer musk, and white amber
- Freesia + Violet Petals
- Top Notes: peach blossom, lily petals, and lavender blooms
- Middle Notes: freesia, rose, and violet blossom
- Base Notes: sheer musk, heliotropine, and cedarwood
With all the different, and beautiful, scent options of the Coty Love 2 Love fragrances it was hard to choose a second one to go with the Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa. However, I did really like the fact that the boxes are kind of color coded to let you know exactly which scent is which; violets in a violet box etc. So not only is the packaging gorgeous it’s practical as well!
The bottles of the Coty Love 2 Love fragrance are just as pretty as the boxes are. I think these would look absolutely gorgeous on her vanity, the shape of the bottle would tie-in with the classiness she already has there while the shape of the cap brings in a bit of fun to her vanity. I don’t think she will be disappointed by these at all.
I couldn’t just get her two bottles of perfume and call it done could I? Nope I couldn’t. I needed to bring in a bit more pamper for her Mother-in-Law Gift Basket, I mean the way the Hubs pampers me he had to learn that somewhere so giving a bit of that back is a necessity. I decided to go with a lip pencil in a color that she wears, nail polish in a color she loves, and a face mask because I know she hardly ever uses them. I went with a lip pencil in Satin Rose (neutral), a nail polish in Carrie’d Away (nude), and a Diamond Mineral Face Mask. All things considered I think it’s a pretty good Mother-in-Law Gift Basket.
What an awesome gift that was. I am sure my mom OR mother in law would love that, too!

I love that you put a face mask in there. I NEVER buy them for myself, but if they are in a gift basket, they are always the first thing used. I see them as really renewing.

These are great! I haven’t ever smelt Coty Love 2 Love before, but I love the bottles. Very pretty. From your post it sounds like I would probably enjoy Fresh Rose + peach. Really great gift basket idea!

You make a really great point about thanking the woman who raised her son into the husband of yours, he is today! I love my mother in law and we’ve always had a really good relationship. These are perfect ideas for a gift basket for her. She loves trying new scents.
That’s so sweet that you thought of your mother in law on Mother’s Day. We usually just get a hanging basket of flowers, but that Fresh Rose + Peach would have been a wonderful addition to her gift!

I have 2 mother-in-laws. My husband has a step-mom. Either of them would like something like this. My mother is allergic to most fragrances so I stick to simple things for her.
