May Birchbox Unboxing

It seems like my Birchbox boxes are coming earlier and earlier. I really love how early they’re coming because it means I can tell YOU about them earlier and you can get your own subscription. Before you see the wonderful goodies I got in this month’s box you should know that Birchbox costs $10/month and you get 4-5 samples in each box.

Make sure to check out the Birchbox video above. If you can’t see the above video click here

Harvey Prince Yogini Perfume

Harvey Prince Yogini Perfume

The first item in my May Birchbox was a Harvey Prince Yogini perfume sample. This perfume sample has gardenia, jasmine, and grapefruit along with a few other items mixed in. While this hasn’t been my favorite Harvey Prince perfume sample, it certainly wasn’t the worst.

Smashbox Primer Water

Smashbox Primer Water

The second item in my May Birchbox was a glass bottle of Smashbox Primer Water. I’ve seen this around on YouTube and I’ve been interested but I didn’t want to lay down the $32 price tag without knowing exactly what it was and how it worked, and I haven’t seen a lot of reviews about it. I can’t wait to test this out and review it for you guys.

Marcelle Hydrating Gel

Marcelle Hydrating Gel

The third item in my May Birchbox was a sample of Marcelle Hydrating Gel. When I saw this I was afraid it was going to have an off putting scent, especially when I read the card and it mentioned cucumber. However, this doesn’t have much of a scent at all and since my skin can always use some hydrating I can’t wait to try this out!

Macadamia Oil Treatment

Macadamia Oil Treatment

The third item in my May Birchbox was a sample of Macadamia Oil Treatment, this one again came in a glass bottle. I love Macadamia Professional’s products so when this was offered as a Sample Choice I knew immediately that this was what I was going to chose for the month of May. I’ve already given this a try and I can say that I absolutely love it, a full review will be up soon!

Coastal Scents Reveal3d Sampler

Coastal Scentes Reveal3d Sampler

The last item in my May Birchbox was a sampler of the Coastal Scents Reveal3d palette. The sampler that I got was titled “Desert Bloom” and some gorgeous shades in it. Before I use this though I’m going to see if the full palette is something I’m interested in that way if it is I can pass this onto someone who could enjoy it!

May Birchbox Unboxing Contents

So there you have my May Birchbox unboxing. As you can see from the chart this month’s box didn’t have an excellent monetary value, only coming in at $17.52. That being said, the personal value for this month’s box is outstanding. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about was the Harvey Prince perfume sample, however, I think that my mother-in-law will really enjoy this scent.

I am funny about scents, too, so I may not have loved it, either. I am really fussy.

I am always impressed with all the great things in your monthly Birchbox delivery. The macadamia oil treatment sounds as if it has a pleasant fragrance. The $10 price is extremely economical and much less expensive than finding out you don’t like something after you’ve bought the regular size.

Over the course of the past few articles, you have single handedly sold me on Birchbox. They always seem to send such great stuff!

I definitely appreciate the try before you buy aspect of sample products, especially when it comes to beauty items because I am totally clueless. I have been searching for a good primer that will really help my makeup last all day so I am really looking forward to that full review.

I’m interested to see your reviews on these products, particularly the hydrating gel. I could use a little more moisture in my life! BirchBox is really a great deal, getting to try out products for a fraction of the cost.

This cracked me up: “While this hasn’t been my favorite Harvey Prince perfume sample, it certainly wasn’t the worst.” LOL

I would love to know what you thought of the primer water once you have tried it, I love Smashbox products but I haven’t tried this one yet either and would love to know how well it works.
