I’m so excited! It’s time for the January Birchbox and it’s still January! I have finally caught up to when the boxes are put out. Woot! For those who don’t know Birchbox costs $10/month and you get 4-5 beauty samples each moth.

January had two options for the specially curated boxes: the “Relax and Recharge” Birchbox and the “Tone It Up” Birchbox. This month I decided to choose the “Tone It Up” Birchbox as I really wanted one of the products inside of it and I didn’t want to leave it to chance.
Aquareveal Water Peel
The first item in my January Birchbox was an Aquareveal Water Peel. From the name I thought it was a product that I have to put on and then peel off but according to the directions that’s not the case. We’ll see how it actually works when I test it to review.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk
The second item in my January Birchbox was a Klorane Dry Shampoo. This specific dry shampoo comes with Oat Milk in it which is supposedly good for for sensitive skin. The Purchase Full Size
The third item in my January Birchbox was the whole reason I chose the “Tone It Up” box, Whish Body Butter. I’ve been wanting to try this for awhile so when I saw that one of the curated boxes had it, I had to jump on it. The scent that I got was lavender. The fourth item in my January Birchbox was a Coola After Sun Lotion. I’ve received Coola products in the past, usually in my Ipsy bag, and I tend to really like them. Can’t wait to give this a try and see if it does anything. The last item that was in my January Birchbox was a small quad from the Coastal Scents Revealed palette. I like that the quad gives you two of the shimmer shades and two of the matte shades to try out. I’ve had my eye on the Revealed palette for awhile now and trying these out might make me finally make me make a decision about it.Whish Body Butter

My January Birchbox cost me $10 and I received $22.11 worth of products! My favorite item from this month’s box is the Whish Body Butter, as it’s the entire reason I got the box I’m glad that I like it! While not all the items in this month’s Birchbox were my favorite there weren’t any that I disliked. While the January Birchbox didn’t have as great of a value as the December Birchbox, it still had a pretty good value.
All of these products look fantastic and I know I would use all of them. My favorite would probably be the palate sampler – the colors are to die for!
I love subscription boxes! This one seems like a fun one to get. I would love to try that dry shampoo.

I’ve wondered about these birchboxes. It seems you get a wide range of products and they all look really good. Good way to decide if you want to move forward and buy the full product.

I love subscription boxes too but I’ve got such sensitve skin that I usually just stick to the ones for polish…like I need anymore of that! LOL This box looks awesome and I’m always a sucker for a good body butter.
I would have been super excited about the body butter, but no so sure about the other stuff. Then again, I am completely out of the loop on beauty products!
I’ve done the Ipsy subscription, and honestly I didn’t like it too much. I never used the samples they sent me, and it was just a waste of time and money. Hopefully birchbox is better than Ipsy!
