I received the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant to review. All opinions, however, are my own and were not influenced by Dermalogica.

The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant packaging is just as good as the Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery. The outer packaging has the same gray and silver that the other Dermalogica product has. It also has the same quality seal sticker which makes me really happy. I also like the packaging of the bottle itself. I was afraid when I found that this was a powder that it was going to have a top like you see on your spices, I was imagining having to sit there and shake for days to get powder out of the bottle. Fortunately, this wasn’t the case. The bottle has two little holes which make shaking out some powder a bit easier.

The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a water activated exfoliant that is rice based. According to Dermalogica the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant contains Rice Enzymes, Salicylic Acid, and Papain that are released when water comes into contact with the powder. The steps for using the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant are:

  1. Using your cleanser make sure to clean your face
  2. Apply the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant to hands that are wet
  3. Rub together to make a paste that is creamy in consistency. Add a touch more water if necessary
  4. Apply to face and massage in for 1 minute
  5. Rinse off with water

Overall I really enjoyed the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. It’s a bit different which I like as it means I won’t be completely bored with my skincare routine. I like that the powder is nice and soft instead of course like I imagined it would be. I also like how it’s easy to store as a powder and then make it into a paste at my convenience. The main thing that I really enjoy about the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is how well it makes my skin feel.

This sounds like a great skin exfoliant. I love that it has limited ingredients and that the majority of them are totally natural.

This is a really good brand. Just don”t bring this into the shower with you, you might get water in the packaging.

I’ love the sound of this. I’m using a dermalogica primer which I’m crazy about, so I’ll try this next. I need a gentle way to exfoliate.

How is microfoliant different than exfoliant? They sound the same to me.

An exfoliant has large pieces inside it that exfoliate the skin, these can be rough on the skin if used on a daily basis. In a microfoliant the particles are smaller and therefore it’s not as rough on the skin 🙂
