It’s been awhile since I’ve participated in a Friday’s Fancies but I thought I’d give it another go. This week’s Friday’s Fancies theme is all about Back to School.
Dress
The dress that I chose is from Modcloth and I chose this one because it’s summer meets fall. I felt like the skirt and the sleeves really have a summery feel. The cut and style of the dress have a more formal feel than what a summer dress does and the red is a nice back to school color.
Shoes
I had a hard time picking shoes for this look because both red and white work with this dress and heels really make it standout. However, knowing this was supposed to be a back to school look I wanted to go with a pair of flats because it’s my experience that a lot of your first day is spent walking around, going from class to class, getting lost, and rushing to get to that next class. I went with these red flats from Payless because they really worked well with the dress and look comfortable.
I LOVE that dress. I totally want to buy it now but have no money to do so. BOO.
It looks great doesn’t it? It’s so on my wishlist.
