June was my first actual month being a Julep Maven. This means that this was the first time that I went through the entire process of getting my email about the selection window, choosing what box and any add-ons I wanted, waiting for the box to ship, and receiving my monthly box. Boy am I excited about it.
This month’s theme was “Sail into Summer” which essentially means that the colors were all very Cape Codesque and very nautical. This also means that I was bound to fall in love with several of the colors. And I did. I had such a hard time choosing between the box that had pink, green, and the DD cream; the box that had blue, yellow, and the DD cream; and the It Girl box which was three polishes. Due to the fact that the DD cream was new and no one really new how shading was going to turn out I decided to go with the It Girl box with an add-on of Bunny.
Shipping usually happens on the 27th of the month but as we all know for May that was Memorial Day. This meant that shipping was a bit delayed but I still got my box and add-on relatively fast. As you can see when I opened the box there was this gorgeous blue paper bag with a red ribbon wrapped around it and three saltwater taffies. I immediately gave the lime flavor to the hubs upon opening, tried the chocolate, and gave him the strawberry after using it for these pictures. He thanks Julep for the yummy add-in for him lol.
The three colors that came in the It Girl box this month were Bess (the lite blue), Nan (the red), and Char (the navy blue). All three are creme polishes, as is Bunny the white with gold glitter shot through it.
So those are the Julep’s that I received this month, swatches and reviews will be coming in later posts. If you would like to give Julep a try please head to their site to sign-up.
I love the Bess color. So pretty.
These colors are so pretty! I think the red is my favorite, but I’m partial to red!
